i think the older that we get
the wiser we are too
so many dumb things that we did
we would now like to undo

but that's a psrt of growing
something good comes from it all
the best thing to do when this happens
pick yourself up each time you fall

if we were all so perfect
what a boring world it would be
if we only saw other's mistakes
ours we could never see

so please always remember
kindness is so easy to show
so lets put forth a little more effort
help each other where ever we go

I liked your poem. I have been there and it is true. The important thing is to learn from our mistakes. I know many times I had friends who tried to help in the past but I failed to understand it as help. You are right about the perfect part, too. Have you ever tried to live with a perfect person, lol? I find the kindness part true, too. Just today we were all getting hot under the collar but through being compassionate with each other's complaining it helped all of us. Like our meetings that states we are not saints. I think that is an important part of communication. One of our coworkers was really making fun of another coworker, today and for the last few days. I keep thinking the other one is going to come back at him and I notice sometimes he does.

Hi Z, I am sorry to disagree, many times as I have seen that wisdom doesn't come with age. It is achieved by experience and hard learning.” Life is a school where the test is giving first and after that the lesson is thought, some learn some don't.”
Be kind one to another, I agree 100% as long as I receive the same. When I was younger people used to abuse and take advantage of my kindness, now if someone treat me good, with kindness and respect, there is nothing (well almost nothing) I would do for that person but if treat me bad and a disrespectful way do not expect roses and kindness from me. Kindness is the most beautiful quality on a human being but as everything in this life the abuse of a few people, some adjustments need to me made.

You seem like a nice person, take care of you.

Yami.

I want to thank z for the words. Sometimes we forget that we impact others lives even in the smallest amount by what we say and do.

now john to be honest if it was up to me you will not be there,no USA troops will be there

for i would have found a peaceful solution to solve it,i would also let the united nation do their work, who is in charge of keeping peace through the world

but it is sad that mankind has not learn it lesson of the past that war is not the answer, but peace is the answer

but sometimes it takes war to bring peace.through wars we learn lessons that we will not forget

what people do not understand they do not have to support the war or any war.but they should with the upmost respect support out troops who are sent there to fight in those wars

without question they go for they know it is their duty and they go cause they honor their duty, not only do they honor their duty but they also honor their country,

for which they believe and love so much they are willing to lie down their life for their country.wihtout question

maybe it is time for people to stop bashing our troops and start saying thank you and we are behind you 100%.

Godspeed my friend and come back safe
may God bless you and keep you
until the day you return back to heaven where you came from

Wow John,
Sounds like a little peace and poetry would be just the medicine you need. Oh don't forget a little laughter too; but truly lose the green bow tie unless it is a costume...then cool....handshake Just another ole hippie chick; happy to be alive in America where we can still build a campfire and enjoy the smell. And, what the hell...let's just sing!
peace wine
