Detroit (the city and their teams) are near and dear to me. Well, not so near any more but you know what I mean. That, and it's a city that could use some good news.

I much preferred the Claude Le-mucous beating from Darren McCarty. Both teams errupted onto the ice with Hatrick Roy getting some lumps from Mike Vernon. Those were the days I tell ya...

Oh well the face of this team has evolved and Franzen, Lidstrom, Hossa, Datsyuk, Holmstrom and Zetterberg may not have the typical North American style that Gordie Howe kept alive for so long but they are mighty entertaining to say the least.
