Cats are beautiful creatures and extremely peculiar. I have one, who is particularly vocal.

She came from the outdoors, born a stray and runt of the litter in December 2007, under a step. She growled, even while eating (to ward off the others) for the first two weeks in home.

I now live in the country, in a beautiful nestle surrounded by maple. Frizzy the cat, loves it apparently. She comes in for feeds and affection only and after having done so, bellowing and belly-aching soon ensues.

Anyway, my point is that my cat annoys me at the best of times, with this constant calling and yet on the other hand, I am worried while she is away from calling for her long periods of time. A kind of love-hate relationship.......

Any other CAT stories are welcome.....

P.S. - Does anyone.....Wikked..........PAWS.....know the whereabouts of our lovely friend from Florida???

Cats are roamers. Mine comes in and no sooner leaves.

Cat from Florida was like that of my cat and a true crooner just ask Paws or Wikked.

I had a stray male adopt me once years ago. I called him Quasimodo because I put a collar and bell on him. He was also the vocal type. That was actually how I found him...he had been dumped near our farm, and I could here this loud meowing coming from the bush nearby...After calling and calling this gorgeous black boy plucked up the courage and came out.

He used to wander a lot, and would be away for weeks. I eventually found out that he had found a second home and used to share himself between us. They had called him Albert.

One day he left on one of his inter neighbour visits, but never returned. They never saw him again either. blues

cats meow His name was Lucky black and white, came with the warehouse- couple of weeks after introduction he brought by his girlfirend --- beautiful blonde beauty--purred and meowed catching everone's attention.

Couple week's passed she started gaining weight--and Lucky became my friend -- only because I was feeding his girlfriend.....I relized she is pregnant--every one in the warehouse will buy food for them--not just me.. "Lucky is a man"

So it was time to become grand parents--(6) six times and none, I mean NONE looked like Lucky. My ex in shock can't believe Lucky fell for the oldest trick in the book.

But blondie was queen she called the shots and Lucky obeyed like a good boy. They all called him the "WHIP BOY".yay yay Yes guy's ladies rule.laugh laugh laugh

I recently took in a stray I had seen hanging out with a couple of my other felines over the warmer months. He is a beautiful silver grey, and because he is still timid and leary of things bigger than he is, and nobody but my son and I see him, he is appropriately named Grey Ghost. I don't know who is luckier - him or us - but we're certainly blessed to have him in our family.

My cat patches was conceived in the mountains, and born two houses away from me. While patches likes the indoors. She loves me until any man comes around. Evn if it is one of my sons. The guy came to fix the gutters and she screamed because she wanted to be with him. I noticed I went to put out the trash just a few minutes ago, and she screamed liked I was never coming back. But as soon as one of the fathers come to pick up a kid in a few, she will snub me again.

Intersting but there is something in Felines that have them rely their sensivity on smell.

Funny because my cat was born outside, loves it there and is not really affectionate with anyone except myself and my son and even there, she has some bad characteristics that come into play when she is feeling less than "cuddly".

One of my favorite pieces;

Cat

The fat cat on the mat
may seem to dream
of nice mice that suffice
for him, or cream;
but he free, maybe,
walks in thought
unbowed, proud, where loud
roared and fought
his kin, lean and slim,
or deep in den
in the East feasted on beasts
and tender men.
The giant lion with iron
claw in paw,
and huge ruthless tooth
in gory jaw;
the pard dark-starred,
fleet upon feet,
that oft soft from aloft
leaps upon his meat
where woods loom in gloom --
far now they be,
fierce and free,
and tamed is he;
but fat cat on the mat
kept as a pet
he does not forget.
