elcasey: I've been on pof for awhile...and I will be honest... I have met some awesome girls. One I could date but I don't know if it would work out in the long run or not, and the other I could probably date for years and years and years (well u get the point haha) but she just lives too far away right now. And the rest are not girls I would like to date but make really good friends.

I actually like pof more than connecting singles except for one major issue: The forums.
Pof forums are completely messed up. I won't even go into all the rules of why they're almost un-usable, but there is also a bigger difference that's not Pof's fault. The members @ Pof are out for an ego trip and enjoy flaming other people on the forums. Most aren't like that actually, but theres such a large number that are that you don't want to post anything b/c if you do it creates a flame war. So I read about the forums on this site and headed over. So far, i've only had 2 slight misunderstandings on my posts. One was when I posted a joke and somebody took serious offense to it (lol. u do have to excuse my weird sense of humor. but other posters also laughed) and the other was I proved the thread poster wrong on some political issues by showing him actual govt documents instead of going by 'well he said that she said that her mother's uncle's cat thought that this happened', which obviously doesn't make people happy.

But as for profiles....pof girls find my profile and will mail me if they want to talk. For those who are not that forward, they at least look at my profile. On connectingsingles, nobody finds my profile that is my age unless i look at their profile first.

So for me: pof makes social networking between profiles easier (aka meeting people), while connectingsingles has fantastic forums for chatting.

Well keeping everything crossed here Sxc. Writing to two guys three guys that all sound quite nice, and if the photos are actually of them, they don't look all that bad either.

Don't have Des's smile though sigh

I'll let you know after I meet them, what I think of the site then.

Oh...there was an exception, had one guy write and offer to get me...eeewwwww dare I say it.....pregnant againbarf guess the weird ones are everywhere laugh

I hid my profile on CS because I felt like I was wasting my time here.

I joined another site for older people where one needs to pay to be a member.

I did try POF a while ago, but there are more pervs and freaks there than there are here laugh

I hope to contribute to the senior site.

Older doesn't make it here sigh
