You know that campaign he did "Everytime I click my fingers, a small child in Africa dies"

Erm...Well stop clicking your fingers you tw@t.

Then, they parachute him into some god forsaken place and stares into the camara with said children and says something like "This is Solomn...He is eight and hasn't eaten for a fortnight"

You can see on the kids face "Who the fvck is this? He smells worse than me"

What a git!

I mean, Mr. Gelgoff, like him or not is out there doing good things for the far less fortunate on this planet. You may dislike him, personally; but to disparage what he's doing FOR others is in poor taste. One's outrage would be better placed in the reason these kids need help.

I kmnow you're trying to be funny, I just think its in poor taste, better to make fun of people who do nothing to help the less fortunate. dunno

I agree Al... if all he does is bring attention to the matter then at least it´s something... more than most people are willing to do.

You have a point there is nothing like someone seeming humanitarian when it's all for a publicity stunt. Can't say that I am familiar with Bob Geldof. It is also important to get people stirred up but sometimes people try to manipulate our compassion with the media when even if it does some good is for their own ends. Nothing wrong with questioning things and people who put themselves out there in the public eye.

I agree he has campaigned for years to raise awareness and done so much to make a difference where it matters and improve quality of life
