I see a few people posting from India. Are there really many people from all over the world on this forum? That is so cool. Do people from different countries actually meet up sometimes and date each other?

Sorry if the question sounds naive but I just think it's pretty cool to be chatting with people from other countries.

And yes, before you ask, I do live in a bubble. I have not been internet savvy all that long. I thought the internet was just for youtube and email.

The internet is a biiiiiiiig place. Its current "population" is larger than the population of the entire United States of America. *laughs*

There's a far chunk of US people just because some many people like there, but you'll find people from all walks of life; As you can see if you look the left, I'm from Ireland myself.

Not as cool as it sounds, mind you. =P

Yep. There are folks here, literally from all over the world. My lovely wife, Jackson, (whom I met here on C.S. nearly two years ago) had a birthday last week and the birthday wishes came in from Ireland, England, Australia, New Zealand, and places I can't even remember.

At least two of the members here who have met and married are from different countries - she's from the U.S. and he's from England - and I'm sure there have been others as well.

Oh, and welcome to the forums! It gets a little weird in here sometimes. And sometimes folks get a little cranky, but mostly we're kinda' like a big, somewhat dysfunctional family.laugh

You can change your location? I thought the dating sites went by your computer address and they would know if you lied. That's not cool if someone pretends they are from another country when they are not.

I live in south Jersey and my profile says Philadelphia but I explain in my profile that I only listed Philly because the town I live in is close to Philadelphia and is almost a suburb of it. It not the same as saying I am in another country.

People lie on the web? ha ha

I'm going to your part of the world on vacation with some friends next year. I'm going to London. I know, not the same, but both places are part of Great Britain so it's sort of the same.

Well Mindy,it's like this.
1)It's a FREE site.No screening of applicants.Just don't be an axe murderer.lol
2)Some of the photos are very old.I mean like ten years old.
3)I guess people could have multiple profile. And do.
4)I have seen ages and addresses change right before my eyes.

Theres a bit of hocus pocus around here sometimes.
laugh

Truth be told. Many just keep it on the forums for awhile. You will get bombarded by emails and flower. It will most likely become overwhelming.
BTW;You write very well.
So whats your Zodiac?

My own location is listed as Claxton (Powell), Tn. I did that because we live in Claxton Community, but our mailing address is Powell. For those of us that use laptops (which I do when I'm on the road during the week) our "computer locations" and ISP's change with our physical locations so I kinda' doubt that they could really raise much of a stink just because my profile "location" says Tn., but my computer location happens to be Oh, Ky, Ga or the Carolinas...

thumbs up

Actually, the Republic of Ireland isn't part of Great Britain. It's an independent country of its own... -__-

There's that bit of land up the north that's causes all sort of tragedy and drama because neither side wants to settle on who "owns" it, but lets not even go there! professor

Just like some guys will try to B.S. you in a bar, the same thing can happen online, but easier as you can´t see them but in general most people are pretty cool. Good Luck!!!

Ok I see. That makes sense. They should just make a forum rule. No lying about what country or state you spend most of your time in.
