MindyQ: Hi I've been to Eastern Canada with my Uncle and dad. We went fishing and I caught pike. I dropped my line in the water and a pike bit it. I told dad to let the poor fish go but he said no because we were going to eat it.
After that I always threw my fishing line in the water with no bait so no poor fish would end up on my plate.

My dad got angry because I kept naming the fish we caught and then I would cry when he took out their guts.

ooops, too much information, sorry. I just like talking about that trip because it was so much fun except for the part about eating the poor fish.

Hi Mindy and Phadellis,

I am from Australia also way down under but at the moment i am living in Italy, this is a great way to meet to new friends, And at the moment i have been in contact with a guy who lives in England and we have become very good friends and on Wednesday i am flying out to meet him.So people do you meet from other countries if they take the time to really find out about someone they are interested in.

Hello wave

How exciting! I am so jealous. mumbling

How long have you been living there? I have an aunt in Pisa. Such a beautiful city.
I also have cousins just outside Florence.

I recently returned from regaining my Italian citizenship, and will soon have my Euro passportapplause
And then look forward to being more of a 'local' there soon enough.

Hope you have a wonderful encounter with your guy in England on Wednesday

sweetvelvet: hi im from ireland and a few weeks ago i was talking to someone i taught was from america turned out they from nigeria.just watch out for the scammers eileen

I've had several of those....and someone , for a joke, who said she was from Timor Leste.....but actually from Moldova....why would you do that? She changed promptly when I explained it was inappropriate (to San Marino!).

I have no problem with people who want to live a dream, but get irritated with untruths. Makes you disbelieve everyone...I don't like that.

Hi to all the international people that dropped into this thread overnight. *waves*

I wish I was rich so I could travel to all those places you live. Maybe if I flirt more at work I'll get bigger tips. (I am a waitress). How many tips would I need for a trip to Australia or Ireland *puts on tighter t-shirt*

Afternoon Mindy.

A return trip to Ireland from the US would set you about $600. That's about what it cost me to get a return trip to the US when I was living there.

I would imagine Australia is about the same.

It can be a legal minefield though, even just for a holiday trip, so its something you'll definately want to research if you were ever actually considering overseas travel.

Come here, you'd be most welcome!!

Thanks for your positive thread....it sure provoked some good responses.

I'm from what has been described as one of the most isolated cities in the world, though I'm not sure now given the revolution in communications via the Internet. My daughter's in London and loving it....I think you will too.

Legal minefield? Maybe I'll just stick to London. I am going to Europe in the summer with my girlfriend. We are going to London OR Paris. I speak pretty good French (sort of). We can only afford one city and we choose whichever one that our dollar goes the furthest in. I know France uses Euros. Does England use Euros or are they still using the pound?

*runs to google to look*

*pry for strong dollar by the summer*

The legal stuff can be tricky regardless of where you're from, thought it tends to be trickier getting *into* America than out. *laughs*

The United Kingdom (England, Wales and Scotland) still uses its own currency. Cause they suck.

MindyQ: I see a few people posting from India. Are there really many people from all over the world on this forum? That is so cool. Do people from different countries actually meet up sometimes and date each other?

Sorry if the question sounds naive but I just think it's pretty cool to be chatting with people from other countries.

And yes, before you ask, I do live in a bubble. I have not been internet savvy all that long. I thought the internet was just for youtube and email.

I fell in love with someone from Canada, Mindy, and yet, we do see each other regularly...wave wine

thx. I have to have a passport to travel to Canada now, don't I? I think I saw on CNN you can go to Canada without a passport, you just can't come home without one. ha ha. That would be a bummer.

note.....I just woke up....that's why I spelled "pray" as "pry" on my last post.
