Thank you Dru and Warmhearted. My dad has been on thyroid meds for a couple of years. After I was diagnosed many years ago with having an under active thyroid both parents were tested and have the same. They had found places on his thyroid and nodules in his chest on the last test. Just waiting to see what this one shows. When a bx was done a few months ago of the thyroid the doctor was 80% sure it was non cancer. Nothing has been done other then CT's and PET scans on the chest.
We are a very small hospital so we have twice a week a mobile unit come in to do the PET scans. And they are from Morgantown WV so that is what takes so long.

Called radiology today and still no report back on dads PET scan. It has been a week I know and that is how long they said it would be. But when it is your family member you get a little testy now and again.
I just want to know what in the hell is going on with my father and I want to know now! Damn them.....lol.

In response to: My elderly father is going to have another PET scam tomorrow and a full body CT. They had found a few months ago nodules on his thyroid and chest. He is a whits end with all the test and I don't think he really understands what it is all about. And I am not about to explain all to him unless they find something more serious tomorrow. They did a thyroid biopsy last month and they were 90% sure that their were no cancer cells.
But his health is declining rapidly and so they are doing the full body scan for cancer. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow. " I am a big daddies girl." Along with Adam.....go bless him as well.
