well i think definatly we are all being brain washed bye the worlds influences ,such as media and hollywood.our eyes and ears garbade in garbade out simple
in 1955 these things where not in place so the institution of marriage was a strong thing,sex sells as they say .
even the stress of money now has got a lot of people in it's dirty hands.
the question i ask myself where are we all goig with this and who are the ones makeing these changes in the world these changes are not bettering society there makeing things worse.
i hope i made some sense there

I hear ya! You made sense. Everything goes in cycles. The divorce rate in Sweden is roughly 65 percent, and that's a conservative figure. America's is around 55 percent. Says a lot about adults...I don't mean to generalize like that and not be fair, but I've seen many adults behave like selfish little babies...adults who are educated and work in the professional field.

HI gozoman, sorry to get off the subject, just had to ask, is Gozo very populated these days ? I lived on Malta back in the mid seventies and at that time Gozo had only a couple of small villages that were very unpopulated, I would bet that it has really grown now with the dense population on Malta.

Some things you said are treu, but it is also true that the fifties and sixties were times when society was being run by a set pattern of what was supposed to be ultimate right thing to be and do....

in the late sixties, the evolution erupted that an individual may in fact follow his/her own form of personal fulfillment and need not follow the pattern considered as 'norm' to belong.

As i any other form of social change this produces the pitfalls....and the negative together with the positive.
