sweetowen: I'm just wondering your opinion on this. Do you think people who are "better looking", "smarter", "wealthier", etc., get treated better or more advantages than others?

In some respects they do yes.

However, being an average type of person, you know, am not wealthy, am no smarter than the next person, I do feel that as I treat people as I would like to be treated then I do not need advantages, I simply am happy with the way I am treated.

rizlared: Then there is the snobbish attitude

When I was in Austin, a group of us decided to go for a dinner at a very popular restaurant, my friend, a Texan and the regional manager for Sheraton Hotels, phoned to book a table but was turned away, told it was booked up for some weeks, we decided to play a trick, so I phoned, put on my very best English accent and asked to book a table for 6 under the name of “The Earl of Worcester”. The booking was taken immediately.

Oh definitely true! It happens in real life and online. There are some on here that won't talk with someone who doensn't have a pic up. Just goes to show that even online, people are driven by appearances.

IME wealthy people get better treatment... or else. Mentally retarded people get better treatment too, because a lot of people feel sorry for them or think they're cute.
