Jamie, This is what happened with my first wife. However, my second marriage lasted 26 years. Don't give up. If you let that happen then she controls you. There are some cheating bitches out there ( cheating bastards too ). But there are some honest people too. I know it hurts, but you'll move on. Give it time.

Why do we equate love with sexual loyalty? Life is more complex than that! There are different kinds of loyalty and different kinds of love. Some people truly love more than one person. For different reasons. Some people will always love their ex (there's some loyalty in that, no?). It's better to sleep with your ex than to fight with her in court. We should allow our emotions to be as diverse as our thoughts. Not simple, I agree

Its always easier to resist at the beginning than at the end. Hold them accountable early in the relationship when you see the red flags that Im sure are visible now in hindsight.

Its not that they are really bad people just ignorant.

The road to social advancement is littered with past relationships.

Look at the road in front of you and not behind and kick ass and take names along the way!

SORRY to hear buddy, thats the problem with love you put your self out there in vulnarableland, the good news is your girl showed she wasn't worth it, aloough your in pain right now and I know that pain, however you must look at it on the bright side she saved you a very painful (financially) DIVORCE this you can atleast be thankful for, she just wasn't worthy of you Buddy, Keep trying, remember to watch for those red flags , nagging litle voices that might tell you a woman may not be right for you, best of luck to your future , hope you find someone worthy.

That's ludicrous! By this logic, if we were meant to drive, we would have been born with keys to a car and would have slipped out of the womb and into the bucket seat of a Porsche or something. You can take the "if we were meant to XXXXXX, we would have been born XXXXXXXX" approach to anything in life that we have or that we do and it's just nonsense. i am with you, i understand you.. i have been on my own for som many years .. i decided to give it a try again... it broke my heart as i had a lot to give...but as it is said you have to pick yourself up and start all over again.. what you have lost will be returned to you more than you ever expected.. you need to heal before you go on .. never let the past haunt you as you will miss out what is ahead listen to your heart your inner self and dont let your thoughts cloud your desires

That's really a sad situation. There are plenty of damaged people out there who do these things. Sometimes we attract them because of our own childhood issues. So if you don't want to become a bitter and cynical man as so many on dating sites then please try and see the pattern if there is one. After that, be sure to repeat to yourself continually that this is not what you want or deserve and that something much better is out there for you. Most likely you do have a pattern so please try and see it. I've had to leave perfectly nice men because their childhood issues were too great and they refused to bring all that back to mind. I was banging my head into the wall but had to do what was right for me: the healthy path.
