Pets have a way of becoming part of the family and in a way they are like children. Now....the question is, "Would you give up your children?"

Your pets are part of a package deal, take it or leave it. Get rid of pets today, what's tomorrow?

KEEP your babies!
You know they love you unconditionally and always will.

Unfortunately, I've developed an allergy to cats, I used to have one a long time ago. I'd never ask or expect my b/f to give up his cat, but if his cat died before I did, I'd hope he didn't get another one.

I have 3 cats. I got them 1 week after my marriage ended. They have been my sanity, my friends, i have hugged them, cried over them. They depend on me. Give them up. Never.scold

He actually asked you to give up your pets?

How could he do that to someone? Even suggest it?

You love animals! (And your animals have bonded with you and rely on you!)

Keep the animals. Ditch the Insensitive, selfish guy.
very mad

You'll meet someone who likes animals, likes your animals..and most importantly Accepts You The Way You Are;
(and that includes you being a pet-owner).

I have met a man that does not like animals around him, and as all of you, I love animals, he don't like cats I have 5, my dog Spanky is a small inside dog and he don't like inside animals, I have poultry outside and he thinks it's stupid, should I have to make a choice of getting rid of the animals or him?
That dude sounds more like an animal than your petsmumbling

Read the list, and I wouldn't like any of what was at that house, although I do love animals and have my own. (e.g. I love real dogs, but hate scrappy little worthless rat dogs) Can see where he wouldn't like it either. But, you have them, and it is a part of what you are, so he should accept it along with everything else if he is "the one". Of course, if these animals are not dearly loved (there are people out there that have animals but don't really care about them), then it would be a matter of coming to some kind of compromise, or just get rid of them altogether. Asking this question in the first place makes it sound like you may be willing to dump the lot. Anyone said something like that to me I would be laughing my ass off as the dog chased them out of the house. No debating or even thinking about it.

If I cared about a lady and she had animals, I would put up with the animals and even try to like them because they bring her pleasure. If he is not willing. Boot the sucker....he doesn't care about you enough. He cares only about himself. You are willing to get rid of them for him cause you care enough. He does not deserve you. Get you a better guy. Those kind will move on later also.thumbs up

Sounds like either way you go..If you have things the way you want he won't be happy and if he has it his way you won't.

I dunno...Is it possible for you two to comprimise a little?

If not, go your separate ways. There will always be anomosity.

Don't get me wrong but I think she already had her mind made up from what I gather of her post. The "children" came first grin
