I think the psalmist is paying the creator homage in a wordplay expressing his awe in existence. Maybe?

That is one of my favorite parts of the Bible Psalms 139. That whole passage tells of the worth each of us have that we are unique and that a loving creator knew what he was doing right down to the hairs on our heads. That he is the one who knows the number of our days. It is a passage affirming self esteem and the dignity of each person. JMO

As for the scripture...I have a plan for you...I know you better than you will ever know yourself....you can follow my plan or vear off my path with your free will...but I will always gently guide you back to the path that I have chosen for you in this life....angel

Solomon was saying that in the womb God saw him and had plans for him to do his will to make things come about as needed for the future of the Hebrew nation.

It is not speaking of destiny for each person or that all are predestined and we can not do anything about it.

God says he is a potter and he chooses vessels for honor and not. This is in order to show his power and glory.

Solomon was under the hand of God for a certain outcome. Much like hearding a cow. But every foot step was not preordained to happen without fail.

Solomon said it about himself....not every person! God chooses those he will according to his purpose.

The breath happened when Solomon was whacked on the butt. not inside the womb! God directed his life as he wanted. If he went the wrong way he was hearded back into His will.

plain and simple!

The life and blessings that He has written in the Book of Life are where He wants us to be. The plan of fulfillment that He has wrought for each of us.
He wrote it all down from A-Z. Free-will allows us to choose which path we actually walk. Asking for His guidance allows us to find the next step on our intended path. The path He chose is the one best suited to our individual self. The one we choose is often the one fraught with the most trials as we stray from the natural path intended.
Of course the braod scope of this path allows for plenty of pit stops along the way. A.1, A.2, A.3... etc...
He only wrote the synopsis not the individual moments. We choose what to take from each moment and this is what likely leads us to stray following glimmers, shadows, and tinkling sounds like a crow hunting baubles. A moment's respite and a heavensent prayer will guide us back to the path, just like a child's cry will always bring the worried parent running.

That although we are given choices, a free will of our own to choose, God knows our hearts and who will remain faithful, ernestly seeking Him. That He is all knowing, exceeding our ability to fathom His incredible, supernatural powers.

Any proud parent begins before their precious child is born with dreams of what could be possible for them. Plans for education, health, enjoyment, love and life.
The Lord knows far beyond any human parent what is good and righteous for each of His children.
He, like any good parent does not force any choices upon a child, but rather nurtures and encourages them to do the right thing. When your child goes astray it hurts but we press forward and renew our contact to ensure them that they are forgiven and then provide answers or more questions to help lead them back to where they are best off.
If they stray for a long period of time and even turn away from you, there is little possibility that you could ever refuse to accept them back if they returned. And no matter the life they have lived you will Love them and try to ensure their safety even if it has to be done from the sidelines.
God Loves all of His children and has planned out the end of their life with important chapters in between. He leaves us to write the body of the text in our own special way. And will walk with us the entire way whether or not we place our hand in His.

It means that a splinter of our soul (not God) was talking to us as we are in earthly form. Sort of a reminder that we existed before we came into this earthly physical world and will continue to exist when we hopefully leave this cruel world if we can break the cycles of Karma.

Also, we are in this world to encounter adversity and overcome challenges to learn the lessons of life, love, hate, and anything else that we wanted to experience before we came here as to evolve our souls and experience something different so we may experience every encounter that we wish to when we are away from the source but still part of it.

"Every day was recorded in your book",
There is an infinite amount of possibilities that we can experience. A tapestry that branches out infinitely. A thought has to manifest somewhere, meaning that a non choice that had a lot of thought may exist in a parallel universe (vibratory plane). So everything has already happened but not yet experienced. It's all pending, but already recorded before it even takes place. Kind of like a very intricate metaphysical formula that is really hard to articulate in a forum post.

Some dreams that you may have had may answer some questions....like seeing events in the future that has happened but not really experienced yet. And that does not meant that will be the only and set experience you will observe. Supposedly, we are living in other universes simultaneously with this one. That we are a only a splinter or fragment of a much larger soul and that we just may be living all our past and future lives at the same time.

Okay, carry on.

Psalm 139 is Hebrew poetry, "parallelism.'

It means that God knows everything about us.. our thoughts, ideas, plans/strength/weakness etc...

A bit like Roman Catholics believe that the Holy Spirit is always with you and around us...for Stress a bit like his force..

Psalm 139 is an appeal to God from David. David realises he can not escape from God.

The two verbs, "search" and "know" in verse one are talking about searching into a MAN'S CHARACTER. God searches us. Probes the HEART, EXAMINES THE MIND AND KNOWS US.

The second word "know"..here David is acutely aware that God knows what he is thinking, thoughts/plans/ideas..actually everything about him before he does it. David realises that he can not escape from God...this relates to people and that they have been trying to flee God forever and probably always will.
Flee is BARAH MEANING RUNAWAY.

To relate it to modern everyday life and Panentheism, we chafe under scrutiny and want to run away. We as human beings do not like to be constricted. God knows everything about us.

Stressfree you keep pumping out the same old lines for all the answers to these questions...I know you... look deeper..you are a deep thinker with an inquistive and curious mind... you will be able to relate it to everyday life....

Ah, well it's more or less saying you have no free will, and your whole life is a script which your living for some elses gratification.

On that note, if its even remotely accurate he upstairs will know he's driven me for the urge for another cider.

Do you have a citation?..

My guess would be that it predicts the coming of Jesus... i.e. His destiny as it was prophesied.. but would like to read the passage first...
