Dawn7z: Doesn't occasionally mean that something is not a habit or just once in a while?

The_Kansan: I used to be a "soshall drinker." (Someone would say "I think I'll have a drink." and I'd say "Soshall I!")

I am now an occasional drinker, which means that I don't touch anything with alcohol in it when I'm on the road (not even mouthwash or cough syrup), but I don't mind a beer or a mixed drink or two when I'm home on the weekends.

For some reason, I'm reminded of the gal who bought a new truck and was choosing the furnishings for the sleeper berth. She told the salesman, "I'd like a small sexual davenport in it, please." The salesman said "Uh... Don't you mean sectional?" she replied, "It doesn't really matter, I just want it for an occasional piece in the sleeper!"

druidess6308: I've had two dates this year where I've had to wonder what their definition of "regularly" would be. One's profile said he smoked "occasionally", and he smoked more than I did, which is a pack/day. The other one said he drinks "occasionally"...and if that's 4 beers/day, I hate to see what "regularly" used to be.

So...how do you define occasionally? To me, for drinking, it would be a couple of times a week at most, and for smoking anything from only in a bar to a few cigarettes a week....more than that is daily or regularly in my books. Am I insane?

Now about 6 cartoons a month? I think that is pretty regular...

Steevyv: Here in Croatia you drink or smoke "occasionally" and "moderate" if you drink and smoke as much as your doctor does. If you drink and smoke more than him than it is too much.:)))))))))))

enjoy alcoholic beverages about four times a year. My dad was an alcoholic and my ex husband was one - had enough of that scene.
