Capone1 is right about one thing: according to stats each year there are more and more females born in the world. However, this absolutely doesn't mean that women have to get desperate and get married as soon as possible. Every human being can live alone. This doesn't mean being lonely and sad. Even if a woman wants a child nowadays, you can just go to a spermbank and get one; sometimes that's probably a more enjoyable experience than getting married to start a family :) Also, if you want to sexually please yourself, there are many ways to do so, without a partner. Besides, men forget that women view sex differently.
I was married for 8 yrs. Have been divorced and living by myself (with my kids) for 7 yrs now (which have been better than those 8 yrs of marriage), making career, raising 2 wonderful children, studying, making friends (and dumping some), and am content with my life. Life is not about marriage, it's about living it and making the best of it.That makes you a well rounded person (and not whether you get married or not).
This year i promised myself to even spend more time to myself to get physically fit (for my own sake), since i have this bad habit to forego time for myself to do things for others, including my children. Now they are teenagers and don't Mommy as much anymore, so I'm ready to have TONS of fun this year which doesn't perse mean having male company in my life!

The rest of Capone1's comment, is not worth wasting time/words with because of the (probably) cultural differences that exist with my own.
