Well, as I always say, it is all a matter of "perception"....

"MY" perception in the pic of wife of the future is, she is dressed, probably in her work clothes. He appears to still be in PJ's and his slippers. Now, this tells me she possibly may be dressed for a job and he possibly has none.

In "MY" case, I am retired, I only work part time once in a while. Is there something wrong with me fixing breakfast, coffee, dinner, etc. for a wife that has a JOB??dunno

I have yet to find it written anyplace that housecleaning, cooking, laundry, doing windows, etc. is "woman's work"...rolling on the floor laughing

Where (or should I say who) is the problem here??help

These quotes seem appropriate for several people today.

I agree Pat. In my 25+ years of dating on and off, I always did the majority of work in and around the house. There was no title or description to the dirty dishes. They were there and if they needed to be done, I did them.

I like a clean house and I welcomed the responsibility to make that happen. None of the women I dated ever questioned my manhood...in fact they applauded it!!

Women have not always been under man's thumb as you think they have. This is my response to one of Y!Answers questions about "when did women start wearing pants" I thought it fit this thread.

Personally, I believe that women have worn pants as early as 1000BC or no later than 500BC.
While the people living around the Mediterranean Sea wore kilts, or togas, as was the case for the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and maybe the Iberians ( Spaniards ) there is undeniable proof that in the steppes regions ( a large area of Europe extending from eastern Germany to the Wall of China and from the Baltic Sea down to the Caspian Sea) the people there had a very different way of life compared to their more "civilized" neighbors in the west.
Contrary to the popular belief that women were seen as inferior to men as late as a few hundred years ago, the women of the steppes were every bit as equal to their male
counterpart as even they are today if not more.
The women of the many tribes amongst the few main races of the steppes, the Scythians, Sarmatians and the Huns, hunted and went to war alongside their brothers and fathers until they had children. The people of these tribes were accomplished riders and archers, the name Sarmatian being derived from the Old Iranian Sarumatah meaning 'archer'.
They wore quilted felt trousers sometimes reinforced by a lamellar of scale mail made of bone, wood, brass or iron and wielded the deadly scimitar sword.
There are ancient accounts from Thracia, Macedonia, Dacia and Rome of fierce female warriors among the Scythians and Sarmatians that could rival any man in combat. The Amazoni Sarmatians were such a tribe. They lived between the Caspian and Black Seas north of today's Azerbaijan and Iran. The Amazoni women presided over the tribe's men as late as the 1st. century BC.
Women were also regarded as equal among the ancient civilizations of Persia, Media Assyria and Asia Minor
( present day Turkey ) and wore loose fitting silk trousers.
In Western Europe the Celtic and Gallic women also were seen as equal and the people there wore colorful wool trousers as attested by many historians of antiquity.
I think that the status of women degraded between the 8th and 16th century due to unprecedented events in human history, namely the so-called mini-ice age that may have
contributed to the "Dark Ages" and the loss of literacy among the commoners during that time which may have led to the Catholic Church's indulgences in unchristian behaviors.
So, in conclusion, the pants have almost never been
exclusive to men and, dispelling a feminist myth, women have been, in many civilization, the equal to men for longer
than some would like you to believe.

What a bleak future for you men.

If the OP is complaining, or worried about pictures 2 and 3 perhaps he should just reverse the sexes in both pictures.

He may then realise that neither scenario is ideal and what we actually have, in general, as many male posters have testified to, is a happy and healthy medium.
