"Some" old habits are difficult to break..

I guess those aren't the only ones...I was being narrow minded cause they all don't work that wayyyyyyy...incompetent defense attorneys should also be held responsible and also judges who are presented with evidence to the contrary yet ignore it do to certain biases etc....witnesses who lie and then recant much later down the road...and yep they should all serve the time that they dished out based on falseness...and the fact that they managed to destroy an innocent persons life...we had a case here...his name was Steven Truscott...he was 14 and the youngest ever to be sentenced to death in Canada..I believe this was in the 60's...he served 20 years or some ungodly sentence after they did away with the death penalty here all along professing his innocence to killing a 12 year old girl...the police and Crown attorney both suppressed evidence...child witnesses were coached to lie by police and recanted years later...and he spent all these years trying to clear his name once he finally got out of jail...and he was finally cleared this past year after an appeals court reviewed his case and the evidence...now the man is in his 50's or 60's and spent the better part of his life being labeled a murderer...he even had to change his name and take on a new identity because of the rage against him.....yet he was totally innocent...a good example of almost the whole justice system failing a young boy....

He served 10 years before his release on parole apparently...Anyway the best example of a Canadian travesty of justice....

as stated from a a previous post should be if there was any malice or negligence involved
on a side note but related my biggest problem with justice system over here anyway is that judges dont seem to live in same reality as rest of us

They deal with stuff written on paper. Just because its written down doesn't make it true, or enforcable...

Honestly. Do you think a restraining order can really keep people safe from a motivated psychopath...?

We are all born guilty, on this planet.
Imprisoned in jail or imprisoned by life circumstances is about as terrible.
One way or other we all serve a sentence and honestly I have no clue who to blame... Perhaps our human values still have a long way to go to fully mature, regardless of our position in a society...Not to forget that justice makes no common sense.

Could you put this in the First Person,for the simple reason,that many do not feel Guilty for the mere Fact of being alive!
