Thank you, C...it was a long time ago. These days I just wish I could find him to know that he's okay and has had a happy life. He was a very mixed-up young man then. And I was able to see that, love him for who he was, and be healthy enough to walk away with peace of mind. And a lot of really great memories. He was one of the major loves of my life. wine
druidess6308: That's not long-term friendship, that's a romantic relationship.

I will tell a relavent story, though. I had a boyfriend in the Army that I had a very stormy relationship with...fire and ice constantly with him. He contacted me from England as he was getting out of the Army, wanted to stop to see me sometime. I hadn't heard from him in about 4 years at that point. Yes, I still remembered him with love then, so why not? He spent a weekend with me and then I went to Buffalo, NY and spent a weekend with him. At the end of that weekend, he proposed that I move there and live with him...as a friend. We'd see other people.

I haven't spoken to him since I left there.

I do still have many fond memories of him, though.

Are you upset with me?
sadegh1979: Hey
I mean the process that involves dates, talking, phone calls, making love, and living with each other for years
Is this clear?

No. Why bother? If he wants to have living together for years, then he and I would need to be married.

For me, friends don't have sex. Period, barf barf

laugh No. I can talk about these things, and it no longer has the power to hurt. Those wounds healed a long time ago. hug And I never get upset with someone for starting a topic. I chose to walk in, and to post, even after I saw you expound on what you meant by your thread.

As I said...I have fond memories of him still. I always will...he was one of the craziest, but biggest, loves of my life. The Love of my youth. wine
