Man cooking

smitten

A father of one of the kids i took care was always busy in the kitchen, opened wine everyday...when i went there, he could be cooking and served me wine once i stepped in. He was so delightful mixing all the ingridients and letting me eat some while he cooked. I just love the pic of a man doing that. No man that cooks carefully is insensiblesmitten

Does not matter to me if a woman thinks, a man can cook, 'cause I can cook, and have had many compliments from ladies having experienced my cooking abilities. No thought involved, just enjoyment of a feast prepared for both. Heck, if my meals in life depended on someone else cooking for me, or eating at restaurants daily, I'd have starved many years ago, and my mom would have thought, I never learned what she taught me.

In my generation seeing a man cooking was like taboo, but allot has changed. My mother would chase me out of the kitchen when I was a child. This changed as I get older and told here that I need to cook for when am on my own and she showed me some pointers on cooking and the work in the kitchen. I feel the kitchen is as natural as working on farm equipment, vehicle or building something. Just have to wash your hands and finger nails good, before prepping and cooking your meal. grin

some of we humans have had the opportunity to fend for ourselves. sometimes because we had to. I not only enjoy cooking but would give my right n-t to experience the miracle of childbirth. yet I've always loved women, drank beer and played football. go figure.

I'm a good cook, but it really isn't worth the effort to make something decent when you have to cook for just one.

This year was the first time i haven't had to cook Xmas dinner (from memory) and i have to say knowing i didn't have piles of washing up to do was nice!

Mind you if anyone would have told me i would have been eating crispy pancakes on Xmas day for dinner i wouldn't have believed themlaugh

The food was rubbish, but it did allow me to waste my time blasting things on an Xbox without being savaged by cats after my chicken.

I did char grilled some Jamaican Jerk chicken yesterday, and it caused a pitched battle on my bed between to furry ginger cats.

So tonight when i can be bothered i'll cook something they wont attack me for, either that or just eat an apple and be done with itlaugh
