It can be meaningless for you, but I choose mariage for some reasons:

1. Formally show that I am in bound with a lady and I love her.
2. To show we are the same family and she enters my identification documents.
3. If one they I die, she will have my properties legally.
4. If I (or a man) is not faithful, then she can defend her rights and ask me why I did it when we are together?
5. As I trust her, then I will feel safe no one can get her while she's my wife and if one day she does not love me, then she can send me out of her identification documents (Birth certificate).
6. I am happy that in my country when a woman marry she has her own surname and I don't feel bad that she loses her own name for me.
