I can appreciate what you are saying.

I would like much the same and to spend my life til death with my mate, to have a family together for much of what you said ans well as because he and I Love each other and want no other.

Married and divorced 3 times, then did it a 4th time to save a life, and that failed too. Not doing it again. Not planning to, anyway (still keeping fate from biting me in the butt...I hate eating my words).

I really don't feel the need to get married to seal my union with someone. If we're already partners in love and life, who needs the legal approval? I would, however, do a handfasting again.

In response to: let's talk why you marry, what are the causes that you think you should marry a lady or gentleman or why you don't marry?


I have written some thing based on things I have heard or read through out the years. It is as follows:


The current of recognition that flows between two people, when their eyes make contact at first sight.

Transcending beyond the physical of their bodies, to their Spirits within.

This is true Love.

Yet, it is greater than the Summation of parts,(the two people), combined.

It is vastly more powerful.

It is a Force connecting them to a Greater Love, and a Higher Purpose.

Thereby, creating one Soul with two Hearts.

The tying of the two through True Love, it is Unconditional and Infinite, with there being nothing to ever diminish it.

Nothing - not Illness, Hardship nor Death, for Eternity.


I was Blessed to have this with my Late Husband, before he destroyed himself and us with Drugs and Alcohol.

I know many here say that it was only lust. I say in my defense, I was far, far too naive for that and it is true.

The things, John and I felt were far too powerful. I remember meeting his eyes, on the first day of Rifle Team meeting @ College.

The shock of recognition was like a flash of Lightning, as in it is an atmospheric discharge of electricity, which typically occurs during thunderstorms, and sometimes during volcanic eruptions or dust storms.

It was so sudden and very overwhelming. Like being struck by a freight train. I remember thinking to myself, How can this BE? I don't know him, yet, I KNOW him.

Time stilled around us. A warm light encircled us. A deep warmth also caressed our hearts and souls. There was a voice in our minds telling us: This is your Mate". It seemed as if beautiful music came out of nowhere.

We were in such shock, that we were stilled. Our team mates called Coach over because they thought we were going to fall to the ground.

None of them could get our attention because we were frozen to the spot and our eyes were elsewhwere, like we were in a physical shock, is the only way to describe it, we were told.

Coach had to call us and lightly shake our arms. When we came out of it, we said what was that?

When we were told what happpened, we were kind of stunned. When we were asked what happened we said we did not know.

Coach then introduced us to each other. We shook hands and there was a very electric shock when our hands touched. The shock was so strong, it caused us to once again go trance like. Again Coach talked to us and lightly rubbed our arms until we came out of it.

Coach Lewis, told us on our Wedding Day, that what happened to us the day we met was the first time he had ever seen Love @ first sight. He had heard of it but never experienced it. He said he heard the sound of electricity when we shook hands, then when we went still, he was stunned.

He and Mrs. Lewis told us that when he told her what happened and they figurd it out, they were a little envious of us, yet because of how it effected us, they were glad they never experienced it.

I do beleive in Love at First Sight, as I experienced it. I do not expect to find it again. I don't know that I will be so Blessed more than once.

Yet, I could be wrong. I know others whom HAVE been so blessed. So I hope that, whatever Powers that be, I would be blessed this way again.

So, yes, if i meet the right man for my Mate, I would marry again.hug hug

StressFree: I don't believe in the institution of marriage.

I mean, in my world, it makes no difference. If you love somebody, you love somebody and can be with her forever. I don't like the idea of some kind of justification for this.

I just don't see marriage as a stronger declaration of my love to a woman. I don't need no state or religion to acknowledge or confirm a relationship for me. That's how I stand on that. F*ck marriage.

This is what makes Sweden awesome to live in. The women can really care less about marriage.

I'm not sure what that is, but it sounds pervy. uh oh laugh

I'd like to maybe get married someday, but if I don't oh well. More important is being with the one I love. Like Jon Bon Jovi said:
