Okay I am sick tonight so am not manning or womanning this thread (is that a word lol). Please share something a favorite person in your life has told you that has made an impact on you. Keep it real but kind of clean lol.Go!
You have to love yourself before you can love anyone else.
Still working on that one. Seems an easy one and is for some people but for some of us it's a struggle. Can't remember who last quoted that to me.

"What goes around comes around."
I used to tell my kids that all the time when they were young and would not listen. I get calls all the time saying...mom remember when.

MY MANTRA FOR 2009
.....LOVE IS...... GIVING SOMEONE THE POWER TO BREAK YOUR HEART, BUT TRUSTING THEM NOT TO...
.....SOMETIMES THE PERSON YOU FALL FOR, ISN'T READY TO CATCH YOU......
......DON'T MAKE SOMEONE A PRIORITY, WHEN ALL YOU ARE TO THEM IS AN OPTION.....
TroyBoy.....a nice guy who finishes last, but ALWAYS has plenty of company

About 10 years ago I happened to overhear a conversation between my younger brother, Jeff, and my mother. During the course of the talk, Jeff said at one point that if he died tomorrow, he would have absolutely no regrets as he'd lived his life to the fullest. Two years later, he was found dead in his apartment. His words have always been stuck in the back of my mind popping up at the oddest times. Not everyone liked my brother, but EVERYONE had a reaction to him. Outgoing, outspoken, loud, opinionated, and selfless; he'd give you the shirt off his back if that's what you needed. Truly had an effect on the way I look at/live my life. Miss you, bro!

I do not know who said it, and I'm paraphrasing:
Life isn't lived by the number of breaths you take in a moment, but by the number of moments that take your breath away.
Hi everyone

They said, John you have set extremely low standards for yourself and now have not lived up to them! Hey gives me sometime to work on next year. Set lower standards and miss them too.

Never expect love in return, instead wait for it to grow in their heart & be content it grew in yours.

The older lady across the street told me six years ago, that fear holds you back. It is the brave person that lets the world see inside of them. Then she said... Publish that first book.

The past is history the future is a mystery and today is a gift that is why its called the present. So live with the gifts that you are given because they soon will be history and you can't get them back. The future is never guarenteed so don't live in all your tomorrows.

As you walk through life....
Never accept "No" from someone who does not have the authority to change it to "Yes".

Don't hurt anyone!
It only takes a few seconds to hurt people you love, and it can take years to heal.
Live today!
There are two eternities that can break you down. Yesterday and tomorrow. One is gone and the other doesn't exist...so live today!
Marriage!
Don't marry a person that you know you can live with; only marry someone that you know you cannot live without.
Money!
Money can buy everything but happiness.
Trust!
It takes years to build trust and a few seconds to destroy it.
Value!
What is most valuable is not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life.
