Maybe not so much experienced.

I have worked in stores and resturants a long time, customer service is a big part of working in such a place. But I have grown to resent some customers at times, because they seem to use store clerks, waitresses and anyone else w/ a customer service type job as if they are nothing but the hired hand. now granted, we are hired to provide a service and that is what we shoudl do. But at what point shoudl another customer or managment step in a protect your employees? W/ happy and secure employment you have a happy and hard working group of people. In my opinion.

There is no reason to be rude, disrespectful or trite to a Customer service person. If you are, you will never recieve the kind of service you feel you deserve. Has anyone witnessed a sureal moment where you have or wish you had said something/stepped in to say something?

Just wondering . . .

I just know that there have been moments when I was lashed out at by a customer, infront of other customers and nothing was said. Even when the other person was in the wrong. I think that people, when seeing such a thing, should call the aggressor out and make them be accountable for their actions.

Just wondered if anyone had done that or not. Not so much here on the forums, it seems to be a little too easy to avoid saying your sorry or any such thing when you can just avoid the site all together.

yes I have Tip,

years ago on a bus in London ,

this lady of about 65 or so got on and tried to explain

to the bus driver that she didnt have the bus fare but would he take her name and address and she would post the money to London Transport,
I wittnesed this,

the driver wouldnt answer the lady but kept staring at her,

she didnt know what to do and she was wringing her hands,

so finaly she sat down ,

the driver glared at her thru his mirror,

poor lady was shifting in her seat ,in an awful state ,

the big think ignorant driver ,still glaring at this woman
started giving it all that ,and how he wanted her to pay the fair or get off the bus,
at that I lost the rag completely,
jumped up said I would pay her fare and how dare he speak to this lady like he talks to his wife,

to be honest ,every1 was looking at me on the bus ,but I didn't care,

the lady said, as I was passing her to sit back down ,thank you I have just lost my son .

That incident has never left me ,or never will,

the man was rude and viciuos and like a rabid dog !!

when I got off ther bus I just gave him such a look ,

as if to say "you are scum" and he was !!

You are a wonderful person LL good for you sometimes people need advocates and your compassion and feistiness when most people would have just ignored her shows your heart. That story makes me cry.

I hear you woman sometimes we simply have to stick up for others there is nothing to it it's the times we don't do it that we regret not those times when we listen to that voice that says to be a friend to those who are frailer than we are. Someday we are that old lady needing help. You have a very lovely Courageous spirit LL I knew you did but never how much until this story. I mean that sincerely.hug teddybear

I hope you reported the little turdmumbling

I was taking my wee lad through Victoria Station, London, one day when a very well dressed man, who was suited and booted, walked directly towards us, made a point of walking between us and stood on my son's feet, even though there was clearly plenty of room to go around us

I grabbed the git by the scuff of his neck in his expensive suit, and told my son a story about manners while I held the old fart until a police officer came over and he ended up looking at the said "gentlemen" mumbling and looked at me laugh

No need for bad manners at all in my book..one of my pet peevesuh oh

In a sense sometimes the way the homeless people are treated is the worst type of behavior I have witnessed from others. I worked with them for a bit and came to really care for the people I was around but they are looked around, through, ignored and mocked. I know that there behavior sometimes bring things on themselves and a lot of them have mental issues along with addictions but it still makes me furious. They are beings bathed or not. Okay off my soapbox now.
