Seriously, it really is my theme song for me. It's what life has taught me. So...some might thing it's corny, and it's certainly been made fun of enough...but I still think it's an awesome song. I've been bent, but never broken. I have gained wisdom from all of my pain. And I can face anything. I've learned that well. And I appreciate it well.

I shouldn't be listening to Pandora when I run across threads like this. I'm past it for the moment. Besides, I left him (no regrets), but the tune still coats me in nostalgia.

Thank you. And yes, I know songs like that. "The Dance" by Garth Brooks and "Who Knew" by Pink, for example. I'm over the loss of my late husband, and moving on with life, but those songs still have meaning for me. "Your Song" by Elton John still makes me nostalgic, too...it was his song to me, and there are parts of it that were so fitting, and I still get nostalgic. And there are others...they bring back the memories, and I pause for a moment and gaze upon them again, just for that moment. I'm sure we all have those moments.

Thank you, Dawn. Just feeling some mixed emotions today. And I want to state clearly here that "Ironic" isn't speaking to any particular thing. Just an overview of how life often seems. I don't want anyone making any erroneous misunderstandings regarding that post.

I understand it's too easy for us to all jump to conclusions when we haven't even met each other in person. There is so much more going on in all of us on different levels than can be adequately expressed on this computer screen.
