What do you believe, the true definition of a Real Man is.
Thank You All!
This is a great thread Rilly. It is so easy to make a subjective list and say what I think a real man is but I think about examples in my life.
My exhusband was one of those, we are still very good friends, he isn't extremely macho I know outdated word but is a kind man, witty, looked out for those weaker than himself, liked women, opened doors and is very humble as a person. This list can't begin to explain all that he is.
My grandfather who is 87 and fought in WWII was a truck driver for his career and he is very humble and loves to joke and be mischievous, again not someone that comes across as macho per se but was definitely a strong male figure. He had a bad eye from a logging accident when he was 19 and lied on the eye exam to go serve his country. The story from my grandmother is that during the war he was an MP over some Italian prisoners. They liked him some much they would say "Johnny come visit us when the war is over." He makes people laugh and has a youth about him even now. He is not pretentious and has never had much money but he is a real man.
I do not include my father in this as he was abusive and that's cool but in my mind abusers are not what I regard as "real men".
