pretzelman: A very long story concerning sexual abuse. That I won't "whine" about!! Last time I discussed this on CS....I was told I was whining

druidess6308: The elbow to the door and the cleaning a tap are things I learned in nursing school about how germs spread, so I don't consider Emanuelle or LL OCD for those! I do them too because of my training.

Anyway...I'm a little bipolar, and a little OCD myself. I've turned around and driven past my house to make sure I closed the garage door (left it open once while I was gone for 13 hours, so I can explain that one), check later to make sure I've turned off the stove and burners...even though I've checked them twice already. Just little stuff. I can live with it all, so no need for meds yet.

Give it a few more years, I might need them, though!


Dru...all I can say is that I would love to share a hot toddy with you....and then we could both share some meds...just jokin', no meds needed.......

I'm a little OCD. The only one that annoys me is my mouse. It's a wireless mouse, and when I'm not using it I turn it off to save the battery. I'm constantly checking it, and making sure the light is off isn't enough, I have to shake it around and pick it up before I'm satisfied. dunno

Sorry mate. Freaks me out at school when I watch the kids touching the tap, but I try not to share my phobias with them. Poor things have enough to deal with without the added dimension of a germaphobic teacher.

yep it like me ,

double checking my house keys are in my handbag,

even if I am sure they are in there I still look

in my bag b4 I leave the house,

mine is a security thing I think,

a thing about be excluded I suppose ,

emm thats got me thinking !!

I will only say that when a male is sexually abused by another male....it is a whole seperate mess of issues!! No wonder have had mental health issues later on in life..

well i must keep my hands clean at all times
my work very dirty .
i can not & will not have a boss over me
it afects my work
i now work at home alone
when i have someone in bed with me , im ok if we stay awake
but when sex is dun for the night or even if i did not have sex with her
i can not sleep in the same bed with her i stay awake

am i crazy ?confused

Did the person, for lack of a better term, ever come to justice for what he did? I do not know much about sexual abuse, but is it somewhat comforting to know that the offender was brought to justice and cannot hurt someone else? I'm sorry, the last thing I would want to do is bring up bad memories for you.

Nothing is crazy. Our perceptions just differ. Is it a safety or invasion of privacy issue, do you think? Do you feel unsafe or just bothered? Not meaning to pry, but just find these things really interesting.

well an awful story ,

but I do commend you for being such a

strong person thumbs up


its very scary to think the one who was supposed to

protect you , was in fact the one who hurt you the most !

But so glad you lived to tell the tale

and that you have been able to live with it !

I'm OCD about some things too.

I can't stand for the bathtub NOT to be rinsed out after it's used.

I can't stand to see dirty clothes laying around in the floor.

I can't stand to see a garbage can piled up and running over.

....just to name a few!laugh
