I just mentioned that because there have lately been alot of this sort of frustrated threads - mostly written by men.
I think men actually come on this site with expectations of meeting someone - and only a very few have ......

To be honest , we as men ( myself included ) tend to pick the best looking ones and after fantacizing that we deserve them - we find they're not interested in us old farts ...LOL

Well thank goodness beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we all want to be with mates that we find desirable and that desire us that is basic human nature.
As for those threads, it seems like some of them were meant to put down western women in particular and show a bias against them. Haven't seen any threads being frustrated about the opposite sex by the people on here who seem to have a balanced view. If you aren't having luck with the ones you find attractive on this site then try another one also. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Just my opinion.

Yea don't feel bad. I never get replies to my messages either. And I'm not talking about carbon copied cut and paste introductions either, I'm talking about read their entire profile, pick something out that catches my attention the most, break the ice anew.

About the first dozen or so, you'll probably be pissed off. By the time you reach 50+ women with zero replies, you'll be making obscene gestures at the screen like me.

Someone mentioned lowering expectations, and to be honest, the only one I really have is that they have at least a few of the same interests as me.

When men don't reply to my emails or flowers, I try not to take it personally.

After all, I'm a stranger to them, far away and someone they will probably ever meet.

I don't cry about the ones that don't reply, I am thankful for the few that do and the 1 or 2 that ends up being good friend/s.

So I will continue to send a flower here and there and pay a compliment where it is due, shit happens even to good people....

I can understand your frustrations. I myself don't get that many response either. Out of the 20 people I have said hi and sincere compliments, only two have responded thus by far.

Its ok, at least I know that the non-reponse is an indication that they are not interested in you. Then it gives you the ability to move on.

Don't let it drag you down, as many posters have said, there's plenty of others worthy of your friendship and eventually your love.

Hey I believe it works both ways. Many of my emails are never returned, but I also don't reply sometimes. It works out in the long run.... One day the right one will reply.

Please keep in mind that us women who are not supermodel looking get the same treatment. We may show interest in a dozen men (flowers, emails) and not get any response. Then you find out that half the men (or more) change their profiles to include "physically fit" in who they are looking for. You just have to keep in mind why you came on this site to begin with....and that was to find the person for you, not someone who has little or no interest in you.
The right one will answer.

newsflash...(kurt)...nice guys finish last...and if you combine that with your average woman who thinks she knows what she wants today(and which might not be the same tomorrow)...you get disaterous results. They all said nice things about you on this thread without real interest in you. You've become like a friend in "need" to them and that's what you'll remain forever to them. Stop acting like a "wuzzy" and things might change for you...
