Can't help but notice that over the past few days, there have been a few threads posted by young people asking "If there attractive" " Am i ugly" i find it so sad that they have such little self esteem, and need reaassurance from a poll. What do you think. ( Sorry no question marks that button's not working) frustrated

Hi Morgan

I think it is the time of year.

Christmas and the New Year approcahing and people look at themselves, feel sadness, if they are single, they wonder why they are alone, some of them anyway. Just a hunch I get.

Winter is a time when we all bed down, nature's way of telling us we need to keep warm and that makes us want to be with another.

Just like any other "pitty me" threadmumbling and a bit contradictory from scratch to be honest if they want to hear JUST "yes"! Then we are repsonsibles for them cutting their vain if we say "NO".They need to read more books and learn more about life, it's not about self-esteem per se!

Well of course they do Cris...

But that is what happens with people with low self esteem, they need constant approval and that is why it is hard to love people with low self esteem, it is draining and tedious.

People say that people need to love themselves, and to some degree I agree with that, but I think it more acceptance, accepting whp we are and that the people that do love us, love us, because of who we are.

If a person asks me, if they look good, then I will tell what I see.

It is not the message sometimes, it is the deliverance.

In my experience alone. Just to make that clear.

The way I see it is, when you set up a poll with a question like that you are setting yourself up for more disappointment/hurt. I mean it's good that people are honest about the vote they cast, but sometimes it's not always best to express it.
