LACali: The only problem with this exercise is that for children with reading disabilities all the letters are mixed up so the first and last are not in their proper places which makes it like reading scrambled words for us and if the first and last letters were still in place children don't read well enough for their minds to guess the words.

Aye. I do not have any children with dyslexia in my classroom, but really good point.

Haha.

Hi Abram,
Thanks for giving it a go. I think my eyes also get a bit weary towards the end. I think I should have double-spaced it. Funny thing is, even though I can read through it very quickly, if I get lost in a spot, it is hard to go back and find where I left off.

It's actually very correct. Most of us can read it with no problem. That's why I tell people when I'm IMing with them not to worry about correcting a typo right below it...if I'm confused, I'll ask. Otherwise, just keep going.

Of course, it's then been pointed out that I'm such a perfectionist that I correct mine. rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing doh

immanuelle: Geez..Little ones can be so mean sometimes. My brothers used to also do that to me, probably why I am terrified of water. I hope that maybe you can learn some day in a non-traumatic way.

So what? When I was 6, my mother held a carving knife up and brandished it at me and let out a screech (just for setting a shrub on fire in the back yard).

lanabyte: Swimming is overrated.

Nonononono... DANCING is overrated. To be born female is to have the dance fetish.
