somechick: Hi Arlene you've always been so nice to me and have always had some very nice things to me. I apprecite the compliment about me being strong and that i seem to have a grip on everything but... I really don't have a grip on everything as yet.I do have somemore pretty big steps to climb and some things to work out but slowly but surely I'll get there.I think of it as climbing up a mountain where you may you loose your grip every once in awhile but you hold steady and just keep on climbing til hoepfully you reach the top.

As for the friendship I have in this person. He's been there for me and I doubt if I could've found a better friend.

I'd much rather have acouple of real true friendships then a bunch of people who really weren't my friends.

Arlene101: Did you ever think that is why they need you? I am on widow's allowance and disabilty but I can work for short spurts. I just told my my stepmother, if she wants to pay my way to look after her brother in Toronto, give me 24 hours notice and I am there. (She has a gazillion airmiles.) I enjoy that. Go for it! I can't! I am physically disabled to any fulltinme job anymore.

Shirley49WV: Thank you but most of the nurses just feel like pill pushers. And where I work you have to many patients to nurse ratio. And from all that I have learned that is pretty much the normal. I am leaving all options open.

sweetowen: I never had opportunity to be a housewife/stay at home mom. Necessity called me outside of the home. Besides, I could never see myself having to ask anyone for money. I earn it, I spend it, I pay bills with it, etc.

Sommerauer71: Oh I would love to be a housewife, I have worked ever since my children were a month old, because I had to, now they are all at uni, I still have to work to pay for that, and I am looking forward to staying at home for a while, when they are self sufficient enough.

I retire in May, I am taking a year off, to be a housewife.

I enjoyed having a man to cook special meals for and greeting him at the front door after a hard day at work.Running his bath and giving him back rubs etc.And I also enjoyed being a mom.Being a homemaker was my dream when I was growing up.After watching my mom doing what she did I wanted the very same things she had with my father.
