BarrenPneuma: I am not asking what happens, but rather how many participate in email extrapolations of events on individual forums. We have all seen evidence of cliques to be certain. Not all of which are detrimental but some which are pack aligned to be certain.
If a topic is posted by a person and some comment comes in that is specifically engineered to create frustration or paint a person in a particular light in opposition to who they have maintained, it does not take very long before they appear even if they have been inactive for quite some time. In fact their arrival is directed exactly at the point of interaction that is most deserving of a response even if the thread is long buried.
I have even read of others being telephoned to become active.
I am not opposed as this is often the most opportune method of allowing a person to correct a response taken out of context or confront a position that is clearly wrong in their own eyes.
How many people have such a network here?
Does it help or aggrivate?
How many even know that this occurs?
Is it more women than men?
Or more men than women?
What means are undertake to maintain these connections? (ie Email, Skype, telephone etc...)
Just curious and not trying to point any fingers.
I think some of it is very good to know that such deep connections have and can be made here for those who just may not have enough of this sort of camraderie in their personal lives.
I think that camarderie is all well and good for everyone, but too many people use it as a cover to mob people whose opinions they disagree with, simply because they can't do it independently.
