My brother had a woman start working with him, now what my brother does requires a lot of heavy lifting etc. This woman started work and expected all the guys to pick the things up for her..........they didn't...........why you ask? Because she simply should not have been doing the job if she cold not handle it.

I know this a bit off topic. But I do believe there are certain things men do, and certain things women do. That is just the way it is.

That is not off topic, it is on topic.

And I agree, there is no way, I am risking my nails to change a wheel.

I will call the breakdown company to come and do it.

I had an wonderful elderly neigbour a few years ago, and spent many an hour at her place, and was fascinated to watch her iron absolutely everything, including knickers. Goodness, I miss her and her husband and the son who lived with her.

But she and her husband loved each other so much, and they had very clearly defined roles, but helped each other if the other needed it. hug They are all deceasedsad flower

Hi Vee,

Hope your well, hug

IMHO Communication is paramount. Sommer was right in what she said in relation to this. There are many different types of relationships now, but as long as people are willing to adapt to a persons needs and its reciprocated.........it's all good.

I was married and worked 12 hours a day and my ex did not work and I really didnt do anything around the house. It was all done, except the Garden really. Having lived on my own, on and off for 8 years it's been a culture shock but if I didnt do it it would not get done. So I learned.

I have also been in a relationship where my partner was extremely messy and I did all the housework.

I guess what I'm really tryin to say is Men and Women can assume roles in their relationship, and while we may be shocked and think it's unfair in some cases, so long as both people are happy in their roles, I think it can be a very good relationship.

If the 2
people continue to communicate and respect each other needs............it's all good.

Vinny
