You seem to be talking about Baruch Goldstein's massacre of people worshipping in a mosque.

That massacre wasn't at the Dome of the Rock.
It took place in a mosque at the Cave of the Patriachs in the West Bank city of Hebron. (occupied Palestine).

However there was indeed another massacre at the Dome of the Rock carried out by the Israeli Army after an extremist group (including Ariel Sharon) tried to lay a foundation stone for a new Temple in the courtyard of the dome. A crowd of unarmed Arabs tried to peacefully block the extremists from entering the mosque compound and the army retaliated with gunfire.
I think there were about 20 dead in that massacre.
