nora83: Nora, it is not the amount of casualties on each side that is the issue as you may believe. Death is death no matter how many on each side, be it 1 or 100s. Truly, the Israeli army could totally anihilate your people to a zero population but that is not the goal or it would have been accomplished by now.

Perhaps I can answer some of what you said above with the agony that our people have endured by describing a little bit of the holocaust. Not mentioning here the pogroms all over Europe and Russia that have gone on for centuries. Your people should not have had to endure the senseless loss of life that is occurring. It is at the hands of Hamas that have put your people in the situation it is in now.
Do you believe that every Jew and non Jew who had their family sent to the gas chamber,burned alive, shot dead, dissected alive or the use of twins for medical experimentation, humans submursed in sub 0 water temperatures to see how long they could live until they died, people raped and used as prostitutes against their will, starved, beaten, whipped, babies getting ripped from their mother's arms and thrown to dogs who ripped them to shreds and other babies heads were smashed against walls by the SS. Dead bodies skinned alive to make lampshades, hair shaved for bedding stuffing, gold fillings ripped out of the dead's teeth, cemetary stones used to pave streets, and the list goes on. Even to placing poisonous dyes into the eyes of little children to see if they could change the color of their eyes. OK, should they who survived the onslaught forever have the right to place the blame forever on every German person and lob rockets at them, just because they were German?
Why in Allah's name would your people allow Hamas to put your people into a fight situation that is leading to their demise? Why would your people push and taunt the Jews by non stop rocket lobbing and consequently force the Palestinian people to suffer so badly? Did they take joy in putting the Jews to more torture than what they have already endured throughout history. In a CNN article today regarding a Gaza overcrowded hospital, a mother says, "Where are our leaders? Can they have mercy on our children?" Do you not understand the plea for help to get out from Hamas that your people need and are crying out for? I would not be surprised if that poor women will be silenced by Hamas for her plea? How many Iraqi's are thankful to finally get out from under Saddam? They were kept silent by a brutal regime. Those Palestinian families don't need to die Nora. Neither do the Jewish ones. What humanely decent person would stand on the roof of someone's home while the family is there and shoot off rockets at the enemy? Human family shields I guess.
