How Israel breached the ceasefire, to set up an invasion
"ISRAELI propaganda is making much of the Hamas breach of the June-December Gaza ceasefire with rocket-fire into southern Israel. What is not being discussed — nor reported on — are Israel’s own breaches of the ceasefire, which left at least seven dead, homes bulldozed and women blind-folded and abducted… and set up the current attack on Gaza.

These incursions provoked the rocket attacks that are now being exploited to justify the current Israeli attack on Gaza.

Late on Tuesday 4 November Israeli tanks entered central Gaza near Deir al_Balah and Khan Younis and the Maghazi refugee camps. The incursion lasted for three days and was supported by air strikes, which directly killed four Palestinians.

The Ma’an News Agency first reported the Israeli ceasefire breach on Wednesday 5 November. The blog From Occupied Palestine filed its first report on 5 November and added more details on 6 November. The Israeli incursion appears to have been ignored by mainstream western media agencies.

Ma’an reported the Israeli army claim it was searching for tunnels which had been dug to abduct Israeli soldiers. There was never a claim by the Israelis that the incursion was aimed at stopping rockets being fired into southern Israel.

All told seven fighters of the Hamas armed wing, the al_Qassam Brigades, were killed.

It is apparent from the local Ma’an and Occupied Palestine reports that the incursions led to rocket-firing from a plethora of militant organizations… with Hamas struggling to calm the situation and hold the ceasefire.

But within a week statements by Israeli prime minister Olmert emphasized the rockets, not Israel’s own incursion."

If Hamas wants the world to feel sorry for them for tormenting a people who have already suffered more than one can imagine, then they also have to take action and stop the taunting by stopping the lobbing of rockets and suicide bombers. If not, the people on the otherside will silence the rockets for them and that is exactly what is being done. But the price in human life is costly to both sides. I did not see the other Muslim political factions coming to the Hamas Palestinian people's rescue to prepare for a future fight in their war with Israel, even when there was a truce for 3 months. They seem to stay out of it as they have their own political problems to deal with amongst their own. JMO, I am sorry for the loss of lives to your people so unecessarily.

12th day under attack: death toll in Gaza reaches 700

Palestinian local sources in Gaza reported that the Israeli army has killed five Palestinian civilians on Wednesday evening.

The five, from the same family which include a father and his three children, were killed when Israeli tanks invading the Gaza strip shelled homes located in Beit Lahyia town in the northern part of the Gaza strip.

With those five killed this evening medical sources in Gaza said that the death toll now has reached 700, at least half of them were children and women, and more than 2900 injured among them 200 in critical conditions.

The Israeli army embarked on its military offensive on Saturday December 27th 2008. Israeli warplanes started by shelling all the Palestinian security posts there. In the following days the shelling was expanded.

Hospitals, homes, blacksmith workshops, schools, and mosques where targeted. Day and night all the Palestinian coastal region were under attack. On Saturday January 3rd, 2009 Israeli ground forces entered the Gaza strip and divided it into two sections.

The latest civilian target was hit on Tuesday Jan. 3rd 2009, the Israeli troops launched an attack on a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency UNRWA in the northern Gaza town of Jabaliya. The attack left 43 Palestinians dead and around 100 wounded.

Doctors said all the dead were either people sheltering in the school or residents of the nearby Jabaliya refugee camp.


Not a bad death toll for no Israeli soldiers having died and I don't believe the over-reaction isn't a planned one either...hence the reason for the provocation in the first place....

When it comes down to it, it's ethnic cleansing on the part of Israel. By means of their invasions, massacres, and forced deplacement of the Palestinians into ever more untolerable conditions they are gobbling up all of Palestine.

That's because they are not allowed to report it...the guards outside won't let the press in..so they can make up their own story about why these children were killed....the real story...if it's not reported...never happened...sucks to be held prisoner in your own home...but with soooooooooooo much support from other major countries....who help the ones who hold you prisoner spread their justifications...while leaving out the real story...I am afraid my friend..you will just have to continue to suffer...
