Would you rather be wealthy and live to be 50 OR be lower middle class and live to be 100?

It would all depend on my health.

Cause if I was wealthy, I'd be dying in a few months if I chose that scenario. Scary thought. But I wouldn't want to be in ill health, unable to enjoy life and life to be 100.....

So that's a tough one. I just don't know

dunno

Hum, I guess coming from a working class family, I would prefer to be as I am, which is having enough to cover my bills, support my children and lead a life without too much worry.

What class that puts me in, I am not sure, but I have no overwhelming desire to be wealthy.

Who in all honesty would wish to expire at 50, regardless of wealth?

50 is young, I doubt whether any sane person would choose wealth over health. Maybe if the question was posed to a 20 year old, who thinks anybody over 40 is ancient, he or she would answer differently.

Anyway, real class has nothing whatsoever to do with wealth.

Middle Class. The only happiness studies I've seen show that the impact of wealth on happiness levels off somewhere in middle class (and may even begin to decrease with increasing wealth, but I'm not sure if I'm remembering that correctly).

You know that saying "If you have your health, you have everything"? Well, another 50 years (assuming quality) is a lot of extra health.laugh wave

Considering that I have worked since I was 14yrs old, and go a little nuttynuttier when I have little to do. . . .I would probably pick the 100yrs - however, only if I could be in good health. But seeing as how that my not be the case . . . I pick the money.grin

Neither, I would rather still be me. I'll die when it's time and economically speaking I'm OK. Living longer or wealthier does not interest me. Being happy does. I know, Objection Your Honor, its irrelevent and defendant has not answered the question. OK I'll stand on the 5th Amendment and the answer will be stricken from the record. LOL devil

I guess this doesn't apply to me. I am over 50. I am not rich! I am also not lower middle class. So I will just live my life the same as I always do--the way I want to. I travel when I feel like it. I go fishing and golfing every week. I volunteer and help people. And, occassionally I luck out and have a date with a nice lady. I will live until I don't!!!!!
