was married for 20 years,, she cheated on me, i ended up finding out about it... that was it, trust was gone... it took 4 years for me to get over it....

If she cheated on you then she is not happy or feels unfulfilled in the relationship. Those are issus she needs to deal with. My sister in-law has cheated on her husband multiple times. He stays with her, thay are unhappy people. I call them the slut and the idiot. Slut because she can't keep her panties on, idiot because he stays with her. They do not have sex anymore, and they haven't for years. Why live that way? She stays because he pays for everything. He stays because he is affraid of failure. By keeping her he has already failed. If you can't trust her then don't go back. That issue will always be in the back of your head. You will be at work or other places wondering if she is being faithful to you. Is that worry worth it? Once a cheater , most will cheat again. If they cheated with you, they will cheat on you.

Have you discussed as to the reasons why she had the need to cheat on you?
Was there something lacking in your relationship from both of you, for her to take that route?

My brother had the same situation and he sat with the "woe is me" crap, till I said it was his own fault for being such a lazy bastard with her. Now he understands where I was coming from, when he finaly talked to her about the reasons why she did what she did.

In saying that, some folks just cant keep their knickers on long enough to have a decent relationnship.

Reason she cheated was that i didnt pay enough attention to her, i am a 23 yo truck driver, and sometimes i am away for the weekends beacause of the work, so she taught that i was cheating on her aswell, and that all her girlfriends are doing it to theire boyfriends, that was her exuse.What i am reading here is absolutely magnifficent, i am actually feeling better that other guys here are opening hearts aswell!

Yeah, just work to forget about her. I am sure a lot of us have caught some partner at sometime being shady.

I was married for 1 week (Yes 1 full week), when she started cheating on me. Effectively I was married for just over 2 weeks (took some time for the legal stuff to get sorted out). That should be some sort of record, ok maybe Britney Spears might top this 1. Worst of all there wasn't anything wrong with our relationship, not even a small disagreement up to that point (I don't like fighting).

Anyway with me there is only 1 chance when it comes to cheating, for everything else I will probably turn a blind eye (to a degree though).

I think you both need to grow up, before you go any further. Why? Well, the way your girlfriend reasons is not like an adult, and you being attracted to someone who thinks like this, does not help your life. I do sympathise with you, both.


Honestly.

You could go back if you still feel you love her and feel cant cope without her. If she repents and truly feels you are the one for her and does not think of repeating mistakes again, you could go back to her.

Depends on what you feel, and want to do I guess.

I was with a girl for 3 years.While visiting her at hr house she was recieving phone calls from other guys.I asked her abut this and she claimed it was an ex bf.One day she shoed up at my house with another guy who dropped her off. I new she was lying to me because i already met her brother.If they were ex bfriends they shouldnt be callingher in the first place especially whie i'm spending time with her i was her boyfriend.So i know what it's like to when a girlfriend cheats.I was devitated.But i did what i had to do.

You cant blame anyone for a cheater. Once a cheater always a cheater I say it is genetics in my opinion.

I don't think his career has anything to do with it, if you love someone you can hold out for them. It would be one hell of a good saging when they come home but still you would hold out for them if you loved them.

I was cheated on by my ex husband I was a good woman to him I cooked cleaned took care of our son and worked full time and took great care of him he was just a dog always thought the grass was greener on the other side.

He realizes now what he lost begs me every day to come back. Don't make this person feel worse..

I say move on guy there are many good women out there for you. Make her move out she is the one that cheated.
