No man is born into the world whose work is not born with him.
--James Russell Lowell

Our Wise Creator has provided each of us, at birth, with the necessary talents and gifts to make a worthwhile contribution to the world. What we make of those gifts and talents is entirely up to us. We can choose to ignore, and thereby destroy, our innate interests and abilities - or we can choose to pursue them, despite our doubts and fears, and enjoy life to the fullest.

If we wish to use our talents and gifts, we must become aware of those activities and interests we enjoy. Then we must make the effort to explore the opportunities and alternatives available to us. If we do not find a place for our interests and abilities in the world around us, we needn't be discouraged. We can create one. Dedication and perseverance have opened many seemingly closed doors.

TODAY - Am I doing the best with what I've been given? Am I using my capabilities well? If I am not, am I willing to take the necessary action to achieve inner satisfaction?

HJ, have you read the book, "10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace" W D Dyer? There is alot of wisdom you would enjoy in that book. You just happened on one if you have not read it. If you have then you know what I'm talking about.

Thank You HJ, Kind of makes me sit back and do a little
thinking as to whether I am making good use of my time
or coming up with excuses as to why I'm not. I do a little
writing in my book once in awhile, but then I get
frustrated so leave it for a few days or even weeks, when
if truth be told, I need to continue or it will be
unfinished when I am no longer on this earth.

Have not read that one but I will look for it.

SOme just cannot understand that "inner peace" comes from within..sigh

To achieve that inner peace we must have a quiet mind.
To meditate and get rid of all repetitive thoughts and
frustrations that we carry each day. Just feel that
inner glow of what HJ has stated, peacefulness.

Happiness comes from within also. When I hear someone say, " I need a man (or woman ) to make me happy." I see someone doomed for failure. Unless you suffer from clinical depression or other disorder you choose to be happy or not. And being happy has every thing to do with how you view yourself.

I try. Though in the past I rejected such a gift as a career. Yes, I've learned...and found another path that uses many of my other gifts. Who knows where it will lead? But I'm willing to find out.
