If you broke up with someone and they said they are going to commit suicide what would you do?

Been there done that...It's a control tactic which they will use time and time again if you give in the first time...I didn't give in...because I knew what he was doing...I still refused to talk with him or to back down from breaking up with him...he's the one that stalked me for a year and it was just another one of his sick ways to try to control and manipulate me....and he didn't end up committing suicide after either....thumbs up

I called 911 before and he asked why would I do that. I told him they needed to be on stand by. Then he ended up talking to the paramedics about seeing a psychiatrist. I went home.

1. ..She really loves you
2....she doesn't want to pay rent (if you kicking her out of your place)

I guess it would depend on how serious I thought they were. I'd still break up, I need someone stronger than that, and nobody on this planet is worth committing suicide over. But, I'd try to get them to seek the help that they need if I thought that they were serious. If I felt it was a manipulation tactic, I'd walk away right there. wine

If I truly cared for them, I would call the authorities, as my background is in mental health. Both sides of the counter!!!


If I thought it was just attention seeking behavior, I would offer to drive them to the nearest bridge, if they would pay for the gas.

I asked him for the insurance policy, gave him the car keys, provided directions, giving him options on the best rivers etc to do it in

What more could I have done dunno
