druidess6308: OK...so long as you're in a good mood, Lush. I thought that Swahili was probably what you came back at me with, my linguist friend. And he can speak Ebonics all he wants, but he's going to get very few on the international forums that will understand him. That would be like any of the Europeans starting a thread in their native language, or you starting one in Swahili...none do because very few would be able to understand them.
That was my only point, really. You know that other than that, I'm very much live and let live.
Without people's faces and seeing their body language, it's
hard enough to understand what we really mean in 'english',
let alone hear the tonal quality surrounding the words. But,
we do what we can with english as a universal language, and for
that I am grateful.
