DazzleYou: Sorry to disagree with out, but headaches are not mostly caused by dehydration. That is certainly a consideration, but most headaches are caused by a combination of factors including stress, poor diet, vast changes in sleep cycles, head, neck, or back traumas and numerous other causes.

Caffeine can cause certain headaches, withdrawal from said stimulant can also. But caffeine can also be used to treat certain headaches as well.

People who have certain food allergies can certainly be affected by cheese, just as certain people my be affected in the same way by licorice.

Headaches are as varying as breeds of dogs. That is why my first question to her was to describe the pain she was feeling.

true ....I have had them since a young girl..went to pain management...etc...It can be so bad for some that they even need to go to the emergency room, if it is a migraine....Water and a balanced meal is a key...I had to stop drinking coffee...anything with caffeine.....

How often do you get migraines? There are some medicines that you can talk to your doctor about if you have 1 or more per month on average that are actually designed for other things, but in low doses work well for migraines. Cardizem, a BP medication is an example.

I have been to all specialists..I take an injection as needed, not a controlled substance,...they come on with weather, stress, you name it......just took years to find out what worked....thanks for the info too.....sharon

well, I am sure your specialist knows your situation far more than I do. Just a note, I am not just a doc, I am a patient having inherited migraines from my mother.

I have had 2 migraines in the last 18 months whereas I used to have 3-4 a month.

Stay away from the dairy products if you suffer from your sinuses.. and for your headache..eat litle and often with plenty of water, if you have gone beyond that stage, take the foods that trigger them...fed by a cetain lovely gentleman to you bit by bitgrin

All I can suggest to you at the moment dunno

sweetowen: Next to the sex, that's the best suggestion I've gotten! But I may have to wait til I get home, again......

There you go...have a glass of wine while your feet are soaking. And put on some soothing music, light a few candles.

Try a bath...maybe a nice soak will do wonders to relax you. As the good Doc said, headaches have many causes. Mine come mostly when my dogs are being too obnoxious with each other. doh My best cure was a doggie door!

Hopefully you're home and feeling better... I always keep a variety of combat bottles of all types of headache relief. Discovered my last series of wicked headaches was because I needed glasses (for computer with bi-lens for reading), headaches went away.
