Why do ya think we American guys have to travel so much for business ?

dont know where you get your facts but most marriages in America do last. Even that number (50% get divorced) that lots of people quote was proven false. My stat professor just cover that topic last semester. He used that figure to show how the news people misread stats.
The real figure is 20-28% divorce rate in America.

that leaves me out then. i was born in Jersey. It is over seas for me because i live in Ventor now which is next to Atlantic sity which is an island (most dont know this). Probably not what you meant though.

I am an American woman. This is the first time I have seen you on here. I'll admit that I don't always respond. Depends on what is going on with me. Sometimes I only have a few minutes to check messages etc. It goes both ways, men and women, USA or not,not everybody answers every flower or message. If someone doesn't answer mine, I don't cry over it...I move on.

Speaking for myself and myself only. The dating pool on my Island is very small so the only option is to look beyond my shores. It is not in desperation like pretzelman suggested even if he did in a joking manner. Love knows no distance.

'Desperate' could be a bit fierce but possibly Eastern block women do look for a better life, most are badly treated, many more have been left alone by their men who have gone off to work in other countries...................like for us in Spain or Portugal.

Living standards are poor and the bright lights beckon..........the other thing more likely is,,,,,,,,,have you ever had the pleasure to smell the breath of these eastern block men?, talk about Dog's Breath!!!!!, l try to always keep them a metre away from me if l need to speak to them!!

Possibly men send more flowers etc so you may not know, but, the ratio of replies is VERY SMALL, this is touching on other threads that are almost the same where people are experiencing the same feelings at different times.

It would seem to me , after reading several posts here, that there is another point to be made.

Why is it that American women do NOT reply to men much of the time?(I know that there are probably men out there that do the same, but I dont know that , as Im not looking for one!) You send emails, flowers, flirts, whatever......and nothing. One time, a lady (if you would call her that) said that she did not write to me, because she did not like my profile and several other things and hoped by NOT ANSWERING that I would 'get the gist' of her not being interested.

Tell me ladies....if someone came up and started a conversation with you would you acknowledge him, or would you turn around and walk away and hope that he could get the gist of it all? IF it were the latter, to me that sounds rude.

Even if they come up to you and say hello, and that person is NOT your 'cup of tea', so to speak, you could at least say so then and there and be done with it.

.....And women wonder why alot of men are more than shy to walk up and say hello.

Sometimes , it is enough to make you go, "....Hmmmmm."

And yes ladies, I know alot of this can be said for the guys as well ( I presume so anyhow) .....both sides are to blame. If my picture is not good or my profile is not good...what is wrong with it? And how long should I wait until I do a "profile makeover"?

Enough for me and my stand on the "Florida Orange Juice Crate" about what I believe in!
