SexyAttorney: "My" scammer, yesterday, was 3 feet tall, Native American, blonde, blue eyed, worked as a secretary with a Masters degree and made $100,000 - $150,000 per year. Also, I was his life mate and he was in love with me. I am happy though that this site does support the avenue in which to report those suspected via emailing customer service.

OK, OK, OK, I wont write you again. laugh

My most recent mail, which I suspect is from a scammer states, "I am Richard by name i am from Knickerbocker, NY..I am 54 yrs old...I am 5.11feets tall Grey hairs and Dark Brown eyes... I am extraordinarily unique but with some average facts."

Now excuse me, but surely most Americans don't talk like this?!! Although, he did refer to me by name (a false one due to my suspicions) when he replied to my mail, which is strange for a scammer.

My experience of male scammers is:-

If their photo looks too good to be true, then it probably is. Scammers steal photo's from modelling websites.

Scammers don't always give yahoo addresses, the also use hotmail.
Beware of those who give you a mobile phone number. I have been caught out by a guy who was supposed to live in Manchester, who sounded very nice on the phone. I found to my amazement that calls to his phone had been re routed to Nigeria. Apparently they gat people to post them English mobile pay as you go phones so that they can trick people into thinking they are genuine.

Male scammers tend to use names such as james william. What appears to be 2 surnames. This is common practice for West Africans.

My advice is, string them along. Make them think they are on to a good thing and then let them down with a bump......... Give them a tast of their own medicine.

I have in the past accused guys of being scammers, and they have refuted the fact only to come clean about it later.

Perhaps we should set up a web site for scammers. A site to put together the wealthy gullible people who allow themselves to be scammed time after time (yes, I know of a few!!) and the scammers.

Big_John: I especially like the ones from the 30 year old models from Uganda telling how they need an older man to love them. I could start my own United Nations from the spammer that has contacted me from almost every nation in the world, but yet I can't find a single women in southern Mississippi.
Or this one, Angel, I need you to remove your profile from the website..... Could you do that for me honey? I am the only one for you now.

There's one on here who has contacted me. Supposedly has a Master's Degree, works in Executive/Management but makes less than $25,000/year. Of course he wrote in his profile that his wife got killed in a horrible accident on her way home from work and now he's left with the kids. Get this, in his writing for what he's looking for he states "i saw your ravishing look and wonderful profile that swept him off his feet". Nope, could find where he viewed me. Yep, he wants to correspond thru email too of course. I reported him as a spammer but I notice he's still on here. Here's how he contacted me. Don't forget he has a Master's Degree:

She wrote to me the other day too!

The trouble is every now and then, these rissoles get lucky and con someone. A friend in West Virginia was conned by a Nigerian for $2k..... She's beside herself with worry, as well as feeling foolish for being duped by one of these rissoles.

A little help

I thought I was the only one getting scammer emails here. Joined a week ago and have 3 scammers try to contact me. Maybe 4.
First scammer: Obvious one. English and grammar was all wrong compared to profile. Definitely from Africa.
Second scammer: They immediately gave me their yahoo email address and wanted to chat off site, also found their profile elsewhere (Kentucky).
Third scammer: I found their profile on two other sites with different photos and location.

I just blocked them and reported it, but their profiles are still active on CS. Is there anything else I should do?

I also had a contact profile cancelled or hidden yesterday, and she sent me almost everything. Email, IM Chat, Skype. The only thing else she could have sent was GPS coordinates. laugh Could this person be a scammer or not?

Suggestions appreciated.
