X_REBEL: lets just say its a character test for woman and i can discover a lot about a woman's personality when entering into a thread...

you are the male version of melaugh

druidess6308: Very well said, Sommer. Especially the last part. I don't try to change anyone, nor to "save" them. And I don't allow a man to do it for me anymore either. I made that mistake with marriage number three (let him save me), and he tried after that to change me, control me, and lord everything over my head. It took me 5 years to get out of my misery. I'll never do it again. I'm a very strong, independent woman who needs to be allowed to remain that...and if a man loves me for me, then he loves that about me as well.

peace

Now...why is that some feel the need to do it..it only fails in the long rundunno conversing

TurkishDelight: I find it senseless in the point that some women so try to change a man, then they lament he changed They fell for him that way he was, or how they perceived him to be

As for her being co-dependant..maybe..but now she is in a worse situation than before. Knowing him, he would have overwhelmed her about his riches. The muppet is like that. What he didnt tell her is that he is useless with money and hasnt a penny saved, just living on his earnings extravagantly. Maybe he convinced her that life would be better, different than having to lie on her back for a living, goodness only knows. All I see is a Lass who's entire world has changed and not necessarily for the better

I like you, am independant, fiercely, so to the detriment of myself at times

Right, now I get it.

Sorry Turkish, I am in a battle about fathers at the moment.

So he on a whim, saw a pretty face, messed up his job, believing that he could save this woman, on a few quid and buggered off to save her and messed her and himself?

The fool.

She could go back and continue her profession.

Did he think he was Richard Gere in Pretty Woman/

X_REBEL: mmm...yummy...

Why is it, when I am knee deep in a discussion you appear from nowhere?

And your contributions are sometimes good, but then you drop a crap one in and wipe away all respect I have for you.

For god's sake, you know my glare? It is directed at you!

Grrrrrrr...

He must have done, thinking that way. Yet there are many like him ,male and female who feel the need to "save" someone. They intrigue me.

As for your wee friend, he is disguise as a mysoginst auld shite, but reckon he is a sweety at the back of itlaugh Just like someone else on here how has found love latelylaugh

Not all of them, but yes, they are.

They try to lure me with promises like work, and big houses.

One finnish guy, took off fast, when he realised i didn't need to get married for a visa. The sad thing is, he seemed very decent to me. He seemed the whole package, though something wasn't right. I got suspicious ( NEWSFLASH roll eyes ), when he talked of his business trips to Africa and Asia. He had a girlfriend in all the countries he lived in, and when i questioned his lifestyle, he said i shouldn't judge him from his past.
