If you have neighbors, there's always the danger of loud dogs, music, parties, or other obnoxious things - one reason I live in semi-country.
Some of my past favorite neighbor-annoyances include "The Drummer Boy" (a teenager who loved to beat his drums senseless for hours at a time, generally when I was trying to sleep or do something requiring concentration; his parents supported his right to drum loudly over my petty complaints, because he needed to "express his creativity." Couldn't he find more quiet ways to be "creative," I rejoined.)
The Most Annoying Neighbor Award goes to some rock band members who lived above me in an apartment complex (surely, the worst living environment for peace and quiet and privacy!). They thought nothing of blasting out music at 3AM.
