I wonder if anyone out here knows anything about whether any (many, all) women retain their desire to be sexual after undergoing a hysterectomy? Further, how is it different (or is it?)for a woman after experiencing and surviving that unfortunate procedure.

I had a hysterctomy at age 3o...nothing has changed ...it was very painful..not too mention ...not having the kids...but, had a bad dr.....it happens...that is why the malpractice ins is so high.....desires...the same...

Thinking my sex drive increased afterwards due to not having to worry about becoming pregnant. That is the only difference I can tell. It sure did not decrease it at all. wink
And cough, cough, just as wet as ever....rolling on the floor laughing

First of all, I can't imagine it being unfortunate. I'd have one it a heartbeat, but it seems to be the only thing on me that works properly.

Most women are more sexual after a hysterectomy. Of course, lube may be necessary.

I had a radical hysterectomy due to cancer several years
ago. I will be honest and say my body, hormones, etc.
went into a total disaster. I was fortunate to have a
wonderful OBGYN who took extra steps to get me back on
the right track. I enjoy making love very much now, but
do have to have lubrication as I am very dry. However, if
and when someone is brought into my life, IF he has problems
it will make no difference to me. Been therem there are
many ways to be satisfied. (JMO)blushing

I have not had a hysterectomy and my sex drive has been low of late..sigh

It has been a long time since I have had sex while driving..crying

Sometime I must tell you about the times an old GF & I had while driving off Mt. Rose in Northern Nevada..devil During a bad snow storm..uh oh

Its very passionate after a hysterectomy..... No chance of getting pregnant... don't have to worry about your monthly (cause some guys freak at that time and having sex).... Only thing you might fine is you may need a little extra lubricant on those long extensive love session.....grin
