Drewski: When I lived back east I carried on an online relationship for a couple of months with a gal from Texas. One day work sent me out there and sure enough she was a freakazoid. I've met some good girls online and some bad ones however, nowadays living in the middle of nowhere about fifty miles from a major city makes it extremely difficult to meet locals and, the tons of singles from the city may view me as too far away and, may think there is something wrong with me as one of the first things to come out in conversation is to wonder why I haven't been caught yet.
Locally, it's difficult to go out and become the talk of the town when you don't even know the girl, then have everybody ask me afterwords what is wrong with me (I mean, to them, she's a single girl and me a single guy so it has to be true love right?) so why didn't it work after the movie?
To tell the truth, if I lived in a city, I wouldn't even bother with the internet for anything.
Alot of people are in a similar situation...the internet is a good conduit to meet people you would otherwise never meet.
Small towns must be a difficult place to find someone...
