A great Rasberry Bar Recipe

One of our patients family brought these in and I asked them for the recipe.

2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 cup of margarine
1 cup of sugar
1 egg
1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts
1- 10 oz jar of raspberry preserves

Combine margarine, sugar, egg, nuts in bowel. Beat at low speed until crumbly.
Reserve 1 2/2 cups of mixture. Press remaining crumbly mixture intop a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
Spread preserves to within 1/2 inch of the edges. Cover top with the reserved crumbs.
Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.

Never buy self rising flour.....its a fake.....I dropped a bag in the store and waited ten minutes and it just lay there....I had to pick it up myself.grin

I made this recipe yesterday and it is really a great recipe.. very easy to make.

I used the food processor to mix everything(except the preserves) and it had to be the easiest squares I have ever made.. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!teddybear
