Dusty45: Look, while she is still looking for immediate rememdies...
has she tried and with total belief
this:

Ask the Holy Spirt (Jesus) to completely take away her fear.

This can not hurt and...

Also, continue with any alternative and necessary steps such
as medical attention.

You are such a dear. Another of the myriad wonders who fill my heart with some hope for humanity.

Of course I have directed her to this thread so she will see your words and as she likely has great respect for you as do I she will take from it what you offer.

Thank You Dusty.hug

Ambrose2007: Okay, a serious suggestion: a natural antihistamine vitamin concoction such as found most places that sell supplements (a health-vitamin store, not sure what's available in Austria). A good ingredient to look for is Quercetin.

Thanks buddy ol pal I knew you had it in ya! Yet another trustworthy man with naught but clean intentions in his heart and under his wigs.hug

Actually it was this I was talking about.
Heard about it growing up too.

There was a time when stramonium, a drug obtained from the leaves and seeds of Datura stramonium, was used medicinally (Herbalgram). The alkaloid was known as daturine. From the seeds was made extractum stramonii. The tinctura stramonii was made from the leaves. Stramonium was used to relax the smooth muscle of the bronchial tubes, and thus it was used to treat an asthmatic's bronchial spasm. Cigarettes were made of stramonium leaves which could be smoked; or the tincture was taken internally. Frequently the leaves were powdered together with equal quantities of the leaves of Cannabis and Lobelia mixed with potassium nitrate, and were burned in an open dish. The preparation was reported to give off dense fumes which afforded great relief to the asthmatic paroxysm. Around the turn of the century numerous patent "cures" for asthma contained these ingredients in varying proportions. Daturine was also used to treat acute mania as hyoscyamine was said to produce sleep. Because of the dangers of tropane poisoning, datura is not used medicinally today, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has claimed it to be unfit for human consumption. However, atropine, scopolamine and hyoscyamine are FDA approved drugs that are used every day for a variety of conditions.

Personally, I certainly would NOT take any medical advice from any online forum, especially a dating site. No one knows her medical condition nor what allergies she may have which may be fatal if digested.

I am sure a doctor would be more helpful to her medical needs than anything anyone on a dating forum can suggest, especially acute asthma. JMO

In response to: I have a most special friend here who is currently suffering from severe bouts of asthma. She is a regular contributor to the daily missives that alleviate my own needs for compassion and wisdom, and in her current state is feeling unable to properly commit her resources to yet another of her eloquent masterpieces. As my little brain is starving and nearing asphyxia without some offering from her poetic soul I am begging those in the know to please offer some natural remedy to clear her symptoms so that she can first and foremost be freed of her tensions and secondly for my greedy mind to fall into another of her intoxicating musings so rife with the abundance of life and soul.
Please anyone?

You are a very kind man Barren thank you and thanks for those who took the time to answer. This is what is awesome about the forums is the fountain of knowledge available from the members in all types of subjects. My asthma has been more severe this year than before and as a lot of those with asthma it as if there is an allergy to the cold air. The main problem other than having some times when I am short of breath is the lack of energy and being usually a very energetic woman it is very depressing. The homeopathic approach is awesome and I have no doubt that some of the suggestions would help to alleviate the symptoms and I would like to definitely check into them. I have been lucky in not getting an upper respiratory infection this year so far as then the only thing that gets rid of my chronic cough is Prednisone and I am not fond of the medicine but thankful that it heals me.
It is greatly appreciated that someone would try to find out things on my behalf and others out there who are having asthma problems as more and more people are being diagnosed and dying from asthma. It's not as much fun as I make it look lol. It also makes me appreciate the times that I do feel great and then others have a hard time keeping up with me.

What a positive thread that someone puts out there to help someone else. Thanks that is the kind of connections I was hoping to make with others online.
Blessings to you. teddybear wine

kellydenise: a bronchodiliator or steriods. asthma can be life threatening.

maybe she could try to see if she has allergies that cause asthma attacks.

We got my teenage son off of those, TG...the steroids have long-term side effects that I don't like at all, especially for a teenage boy. But honestly, for anyone.

Mullein is one that works quite well, especially when mixed with Rosemary.

She should look for a high-quality herbal compound with these and other herbs. And yes, I have a cousin who died from asthma at the age of 8, so it's a disease that runs in my family and I have it as well, though luckily mine is mild and requires very little treatment.

If you want recommendations for companies, email me. There are two that have remedies I trust.

I haven't had much exposure to holistic medicine although I have known a few friends over the years who have been very involved in alternative medicine and as most medicine comes from plants and herbs or used to I would think that teas, vitamins and different ideas if researched correctly and used correctly certainly wouldn't hurt but might help alleviate some of the symptoms. I know when my throat is dry from coughing that the steam in tea helps my throat even if the particular tea that I use may not have an effect on the asthma. I am certainly not the type of person to just use things without already knowing a bit about their properties such as Apple Cider Vinegar, and while I am naive about many things I do tend to research things.

I would suggest you read the testimonies from others whom ACV has helped with asthma.

Somthing that will help is eating local honey. I am not a doctor and this will not fix anything quickly. Eating honey will adjust the body to the alergens that it will be exposed to.

Great advice and I am sure she is reading this and taking notes. She is far more astute than I at the worst of times and she lives in Colorado but still the same damnable snow covered terrain...

Thank you.
it could be zall those dang cedar trees she is living around. coffee is suppose to help asthma..also have her go in the bathroom with door shut and turn on the hot water from the shower and stay in there as long as she can stand it.. professor
