linarl: It seems that every bit of Israel history offends you guys as you continue to block posts that talk about Israel crimes against humanity
Blocking leads nowhere, but that conflict is as old as the Pyramids, literary.
The time Israel have had a written border in our maps is very short and not the cause of the conflict, not at all.
I have very little insight in the actual Zionist message, all I know is that they want a country close to home, and home for them has always been there. True, thrown out by others from time to time, but they prevailed and they are back in place.
No, I don’t think we can choose sides here, blame one side and not mentioning the other.
Crime against humanity, it will need to be proven first. The story about the white phosphor is not a crime; it is used since decades and is commonly used to aim your fire right. If they use it that way, to actually target their enemy and not the civilians, well... who am I to complain, it is after all warfare. Cluster bombs… Israel did not sign the agreement in 2008 to not use them and by that they are not bound to anything.
Unconventional weapons… I would any day call a suicide bomber very unconventional, even if it looks like it is more than common in the area.
I think Israel’s reaction came as a shock, but looking at the discussions in Egypt, they had the timing right. Two out of 15 members at the council there do not want support the call for a summit, 13 does - a summit to make peace once and for all.
The continuous deadly bickering that have been going on from the terrorist groups were bound to create a reaction, I must say it looks like they wanted one too. There was a cease fire agreement and it was broken over and over again, apparently out of control for Hamas political branch (since I do not know if the cells are Hamas own or only affiliated other).
With Palestine having their own responsibility to control security in their state, Israel have waited pretty long to get these groups stopped. Now they said enough and shot back.
And what is the reason for these groups to continue the bickering? Well, for one thing - they want their land, too, of course. And should have it, by all means!
Who is to blame?
Not the civil families trying to get on with their lives on both sides but suffer casualties ever day, every week, every month and every year, and still they are whom both sides claim to protect and care for.
Yes, please, stop this war, but get down to business and straight things out, stop looking 4000 years back, try to look ahead for once. Please, pretty please, or a ceasefire now changes nothing.
There, ready. You can report me now, LaCali
